All that and he's 26 and doesn't really play any position well. Sounds like the Cubs are going to play him at first. He's done everything he could do at the minor league level. Deserves a legit shot with the big boys.

    would cost us some prospects
but he’s only (just turned) 28
    under team control until 2026
    and has electric stuff

Dodgers remain "involved" in the Dylan Cease front, according to @JonHeyman. The belief is he's getting traded but the timeline is unknown (this off-season or trade deadline).

Is this what's known as a Cease Fire ?

    lol giants
    $11M/year for a starter who's not really a starter
and if it doesn't work they're on the hook for 4 years
    brilliant
no wonder AF had zero reluctance letting farhan walk

BREAKING: Right-hander Jordan Hicks and the San Francisco Giants are in agreement on a four-year, $44 million contract, a source familiar with the deal tells ESPN. Hicks, 27, is expected to work as a starter after spending the majority of his career in the bullpen.

    no real surprise

“Before trading infielder Michael Busch to the Chicago Cubs, the Dodgers included him in some of their offers to the White Sox for Cease, according to sources briefed on the discussions.”

“The Dodgers’ interest in Cease was stronger before they signed Japanese right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto. They continued talking to the White Sox afterward, but their trade with the Cubs indicated they were looking for future value. They discussed flipping Cease to another club — the Orioles were one possibility — and acquiring prospects that way.”

I actually think they should try to sign Greinke or Clevenger to a one year deal to round out the rotation

I think that will happen because they will go with a 6 man rotation. Yama/Behuler/Glasnow/Miller/ FA Signing and one of Sheehan/Grove/Stone with the other two rounding out the bullie

Well it could work going into the season with Yama/Behuler/Glas/Miller and two more out of Stone/Yarbrough/Sheehan/Grove till Kershaw and May are available, however lets remember MGT thought they were solid with pitching last year and come October everyone was hurt or suspended. So based on that a cheap 1 yr starter like Clevinger would make me feel better.

No offense, but I'm not sure Clevinger makes me feel better on any level (no homo). Besides, I'd rather having him pitching against the Dodgers. He's one of their favorite whipping boys.
