that first low and inside fastball to Puig that they called a strike seems like Puig would never, ever get a hit on so idk how you don't just repeat that. Throwing him a breaking ball when he showed he has the strength to get good lift on even a breaking ball very low seems pretty dumb.
Puigs best and only full season was 2014, IMO that should be considered the benchmark for him. He hit .296 .382 .480 For the last month not counting todays game he hitting about the same. Last 30 games .308 .398 .473 Looks like the old Puig is back.
gonna be a bit of a debbie downer: It does seem like Puig starts out real hot when he's just starting somewhere. Starting the season, coming back from a DL stint, being demoted, being promoted... He's run into trouble when it's deeper into his stay. I don't have facts to back that up and I am too lazy to look it up so I might be 100% wrong
Chavez sucks, and has been sucking in consecutive games. DR leaving him out there for another inning is just fucking asking for the lead to disappear. Got pitchers all over the fucking place to use instead.
just hate the idea of putting the winning run on base and possibly walking in a run. Give Goldschmidt sliders away or something if you want to be careful
