Nice in theory. Not in practice. Belli can't bunt, period. In the end the bunt had little to do with the Pads' win. It was another Kimbrel shitfest in that inning. Shouldn't have come down to that. So many opportunities blown (homo). Forgettable games for Smith and JT (at the bat and in the field). Wasted some good pitching, Kimbrel and Ferguson (two fucking walks) aside.
agree to disagree but belli sure used to bunt w the best so the fact its no longer in his game is sure someones fault agree on the rest but all games seem to come down to a late inning moment and as much as we lose in extras why not try something, anything different to get that runner over? scoring a free runner at second HAS to happen at least 30% of the time doesn't it? last night it would have at least put us in position where kimbrel would have needed to walk in another to lose...if he's gone that would be great but idts
