http://espn.go.com/los-angeles/mlb/...ngeles-dodgers-designate-ted-lilly-assignment Not sure how I feel about this. I mean, I'm not really bummed but I kind of expected them to give him a shot at #5 with Capuano sucking and Fife on the DL. Oh well though. Is Fife back soon?
You'd think, but you'd also have to think they(Ned) sure tried...nobody is interested. They know we will DFA him, and then they pick him up as a FA for pennies.
Big Ugly Harang traded for nothing. Lilly DFAed. Two gone. One to go. Crapuano should be next. Hard to believe these numb nuts were 3/5 of the Dodgers rotation last season. They really have come a long way when it comes to putting a starting rotation together.
If he was healthy somebody would've gave somethin up no matter what kinda numbers he was putting up, but 2 prolonged trips to dl and that'll happen
This trade was a perfect example: Lilly was more valuable to us in the half season after Ned traded for him than in the 3 years of the contract.
With Chad getting TJ'd and Beckett retiring at the advanced age of 31, it's hard to believe we had 8 "Major League" pitchers going into the season... And now we can't wait for Fife to get back.
