FWIW, I love Kersh's competitiveness but really no need to push him that hard in this heat/point of the season. I'm fine with the yank. Plus it wasn't his best start anyways.
A better word use would have been "should sweep". The Rockies are really beaten up now and guys like AGon, Ethier, Joc and Turner seem to really enjoy hitting here. I look forward to Seager joining that company.
So that wasn't you taking issue with Kemp being called a flop? OK. If you've embraced the fact that it wasn't a good season for him, good for you. However, you went out of your way to point out that nobody gave Kemp any love last night after he made up for an earlier screw up that lengthened the game. What did you expect? Again, he screwed it up in the 1st place, but not only that...he's not a Dodger anymore. LAD fans aren't required to give Kemp a pat on the head any longer, but just because some LAD fans aren't giddy when Kemp does somethin good it doesn't mean they hate the guy. That's a broad stroke. Everybody's not like Tuborg...some just care more about the name on the front of jersey and he almost cost the Dodgers last night. As far as the RBI goes, some just don't covet the RBI anymore and that's why they ignore the stat. Then there are some that prefer to look at the overall picture of what a player is. Considering the latter, I don't think many mind Kemp at all. In fact, I bet a lot of LAD fans enjoy the idea of him finishing his career out in SD, helping keep the Pads on the bottom of the Dodgers' cleats. I'm not one of those who ignores the RBI tho...not if the rest of the package that the player is bringing is a positive, that is. A Hanley? Gotsta go. A Kendrick? Sign him up.
