You know, the crazy thing is that there is enough pitching and hitting talent on this team to overcome Dum Dum, and the entire coaching staff really, idiocy and lack of game time strategy and decision making, which over a 162 game season KEEPS THEM FREAKIN EMPLOYED.

But in a short playoff series, it's too much to overcome.

I know managers with winning regular seasons rarely if ever get canned, but I hope beyond hope that the owners start to see the light and do something for the best of the team while this short window exists....the right mix of youth, experience, pitching, and hitting remain. These windows close fast....and I hope Guggs realizes it.

What happened to Puigs power? He used to be a HR threat especially on pitches low and away.

Now he's a singles doubles hitter.

Intentional? Not adjusting to pitching? Injury? Laziness? Anyone have any thoughts?

Uhhhh no. I don't agree. He had HR power when he first came up. That can't be denied.

Puig had 19 HR in a partial year in 2013 when he first came up. There was power there and no reason to believe it wouldn't continue the following year. He then had 16 his sophomore year.....may be you could argue he had adjustment issues. Now he's sitting at 4 halfway through the season. To me, that equals he's lost something. So what has happened?

Wow, scary when you look at it like this. I'm a huge Yasiel fan, but is there something really wrong there?

Good observation. Difference is teams know he's going to swing at shit, therefore throw shit. He needs to walk and the guy behind him needs to get him home, hence why the #2 spot is perfect for him IMO. The other team gets punished for not pitching to him, and they get punished when the do. He needs to adapt his game to make this happen IMO.
