Not that he isn't great, but I can kinda see why talks would break down, he turns 29 in December and he's probably asking for too much money.
At 1st I was thinking that a suspension must be on the way, but then I remembered his age.
Panthers did this after so many teams have added $ to their cap that I'm not sure if Norman is gonna find it all that great on the open market right now, maybe that's the Panthers' play here?
Thinking that he'll come crawling back after he sees the market with the whole bad timing, but that'd be a tough pill to swallow for Norman because those are pretty shitty tactics for a team to pull.
I want him on the Raiders tho.
Don't really like all the silliness he brings, but if he's in the clear legally, he can ball.
Perfect scheme fit, Panthers employ a Cover 3 shell base and so do the Raiders, big time ball hawk, to the point where opposing QBs might have to throw at Smith and Amerson and Smith just doesn't give up many catches when targeted and of course Amerson is ball hawk himself.
However, McKenzie has to think about Carr's/Mack's/Amerson's contracts coming up soon too.
Not even sure how much cap space the Raiders have remaining tho TBH

Hardy was probably their best defensive player before Norman, now they lose Norman, taking some hits, but only brought it on themselves for drafting them

 

Tafur says Raiders are 9.2MM under the cap, but before spending on the draft.
The draft is gonna cost them about 6MM, unless Reg moves back and flips some things to next year.

Can't take stupid penalties against SJ and the Kings paid for it tonight.
