Juan Toribio@juanctoribio The #Dodgers were hoping Jason Heyward wasn’t going to miss much time with his back injury, but the veteran suffered a setback in his return and will miss some more time, opening the door for Pages. 8:09 AM · Apr 16, 2024 · 514 Views
tweet of the morning (so far)… @SethDaSportsMan Andy Pages currently trails Chris Taylor by 1 hit. 8:39 AM · Apr 16, 2024 · 58 Views
heyward was a nice surprise but i think that was his last hurrah why they gave him 9mil is beyond me must like filling a certain demographic full racist guarantee he's instantly back in the lineup when he recovers even if Pages is hitting .350
RIP Miguel Vargas lol No, he has some nice numbers in AAA right now as well. He should probably be getting a call here sometime soon. Kike, Lux and CT3 all look lost.
True on all this. Kike and Kaylor are known quantities at this point. They are what they are - flexibility in the field and may occasionally luck into a timely hit. They're redundant... one of the two would be sufficient, and I think Dodgers should jettison the other. Holding out hope that Lux just needs to get his timing back. I was pretty optimistic on him going into 2023 ST when he got hurt. In July/Aug of '22 he had an OPS of around .850. Hopefully this isn't one of the stories where they're never the same after the injury. With him I think he should get all of this season to see if he can get back there.
Scarecrow is still fucking with Outman's psyche/development/confidence I see. I mean, what does it say to a young player when a guy with one hit, one RBI, and a K rate close to 50% on the season starts ahead of you?
Meanwhile ... Scarecrow wouldn't bench Shohei or Betts or Freeman vs their same-arm starter because if he did... no amount of melanin in his epidermis could save his job if he did that.
If you're an Oldman fan, don't miss the series " Slow Horses". Two seasons down, the next one due. He's simply amazing.
Sad but true. The only time he doesn’t follow the book, he’ll do something inane — like start a struggling Taylor against a RHP.
