I have some affinity with these people.
In another life I operated a wooden pallet company and frequently hired truckers for deliveries when my driver or ancient truck was out of commission. I was around truckers daily because I was always at the big brick and materials companies massaging accounts.
Before that I worked for an IRP company which is about working with truckers directly to make sure all of their permits, licenses and taxes are sorted out while they are on the road for months.
This was not my original career but I spent a little over a decade around truckers daily.
And there were a lot of accidents towards the end.
Nobody died but lots of destruction and a couple guys got burned really bad.
A big propane tank exploded in front of a couple of workers.
Fire caused a lot of damage to the brick company we were set up in.
And one guy was parking a truck when it happened and he left the truck to go help presumably but in his haste didnt not secure it properly.
It rolled down the hill and destroyed tons inventory going through a building and taking out industrial sized clay pipes.
So yeah... im on team truckers for sure.
