Today, I think Lux is as high as Vida Blue was on acid...
Was that Vida that did that? I thought it was Doc Ellis. Also Bill Lee ... but Vida and Doc are easily confused, but not Bill with them.
can't even get the bat on the ball, lamb indeed
Today Lamb is showing why it took so long to call him up. Six LOB already and he didn't even start. We could've had a comfortable lead if he came through even once.
Vesia mows down the first two guys so yank him and bring in another lefty
oh 2 pitch right where he can hit it brilliant stuff price
really liking leaving an overpaid washed up loser like price in here davey
wouldn't be cool to just sweep a down on their luck team like this would it?
Yeah, probably was. Glad your on the watchtower...how's Jimmy?
But the point is, Lux cost the team a lot today. A lot.
Oh, and David Price sucks. Washed up and faded like an old pair of bluejeans.
And I'm sure I've got the right guy on this one.
Pardon my black-hearted pessimism... but the Bums CAN still lose this game. Oh yes the can ....
We shall see...
wtg Brusdar SWEEP and 8 up on the mads
and a stinky burger if you're so inclined
Pulled it off. Well done.
Now ESPN will bury this game story after three others addressing racism in America, trans men justifying beating teen girls in swimming, and Wimbledon...
I see those Jack in the Crack ads on the feed and remember how badly I wolfed that shitty food down in SoCal. Glad we only have two fast food joints here and I never eat it anymore anyway.
Could have been played, but both balls were smoked.
Julio had nothing today. He's human. Glad they bailed him out.
Doc Ellis. Claimed he pitched a no-hitter on acid.
......and maybe they don't win the previous two games if he doesn't homer in both.
Pretty sure blow was Vida's drug of choice.
Okay, I get that he didn't make the plays in the first, although it sounds like they were screamers. But I struggle to blame the kid when it's probably not HIS choice to be in the OF. And he was on base four times today... I know at least a couple of those kept rallies going. I'm starting to have a pretty high level of confidence when he's at the plate and we need a hit.
Also made a nice play for the first out of the 9th.
Second one was a blooper in front of him. He took one step in then waited like 2-3 seconds for the ball to fall maybe 10 feet in front of him
98 mph isn't a bloop. Agree an experienced LF makes the play.
