Bills CRUSHES when he pitches in SD. I haven't looked at those stats yet, will do soon, but from everything I remember, he is a CY Young type pitcher in SD so there is no better place for him to start the season than SD.
Good call: in 84 innings he has a 2.36 ERA and 8.3 K/9 at Petco. It's the stadium he has the second most innings in (after Dodger Stadium of course)
The Dodgers probably planned it this way given his success but if I remember correctly the dimensions have changed to a more hitter friendly depth. We will see.
Nah I think that Bills will step up for a win with fewer than 4 ER and agree that Greinke will be mowing down Padre's like daisies... 10+ K's
I always liked Bills....I guess it's because I like scrotumless guys...something completely different. I hope he is back on track....I can just imagine if he is....nice first four , man. Awesome. IDK about Beckett....he was damn good once, but nowhere near that trying to fool 'em without that heat. I hope he does... But I'm thinking eventually we'll be saying "will no one rid us of this meddlesome pitcher"? Y'know, like his namesake Thomas.
Next few games are critical. If Beckett pitches like he did for us in the Spring or like he did early in the spring and Bills pitches like he was last year before he got hurt. Damn that is a filthy rotation.
How soon will it be when he screws up some, he will be "Jerkoffo"?? Kid was rated as a possible RoY candidate, to his credit. Hear me now and believe me later, Jerkoff...it will be Ryu.
He made 2 mistakes. 1 probably is only a mistake to a hitter like Sandovol. 6 IP, 3 ER. Quality start, but he left home run balls up in the zone to Pence and Panda. They need to stop setting up high in the zone and he should be fine.
