@dylanohernandez: Hanley Ramirez said he expects to have his cast removed this week.

Well, the return of Hanley, whenver it exactly it may be, could be an anti-climax. Hope fully when he's in the lineup the gaping hole (s) will be filled in offense. But we've waited for the return of players before- Kemp, Manny, Ethier come to mind in the past, and the story book results we all hoped for didn't appear magically.
I just think if Kemp can start swinging the way he used to (I see something frightinglenly different from him; or possibly familiar, I guess... maybe my imagination), then Hanley can slide in without the "savior" role being put on his back. Maybe he'll like it ,IDK. But I'd like him to come back completely right, and have Matt and guys like Cruz start contributing on a consistent basis.
I just know with the offense sputtering more often or not, the pressure on pitching will be unreasonable... to be Kershaw-like every time out.
We've been through it all before, and I wish I could say we've righted the ship and got it together. Whatever your take is on the Dodgers this year, it doesn't change the quarter century without a thing.

The sooner Hanley returns, the sooner we can fix our lineup to something more appropriate, like:

    Crawford-Ellis-Gonzo-Hanley-Ethier-Uribe-Kemp-AJ

Hanley Ramirez is hitting off a tee and soft toss, but the club won't say he'll return ahead of schedule. http://Dodgers.com .

Hanley Ramirez says he'll be back well before mid-May projection. "Everybody is going to be shocked." #Dodgers

Awesome, awesome news! Just would rather him be 100% before the return instead of 90%, rushing and playing like shit and/or having a chance to re-injure.

Agreed, he shouldn't feel a need of desperation even how terrible our left side has been. we need him for the rest of the year, not one month then out for awhile longer

"I don't wanna say when I'm coming back but people are gonna be shocked"

He's gonna announce it on his Twitter when he does come back. When would he be eligible?

Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez said Tuesday he plans to return "way sooner" than the mid-May timetable set when he had thumb surgery.

"Everybody is going to be shocked," Ramirez said.

Ramirez said he felt "awesome" after hitting in the cage and taking ground balls with his right thumb taped.

He tore a ligament in the thumb in the World Baseball Classic championship game on March 20. After surgery two days later, the Dodgers said he would sit out eight weeks.

    That would be May 17.

    "Way sooner," Ramirez said.

In his absence, Dodgers shortstops are batting .167, with one run scored.

Ramirez would not say when he might start a minor league rehabilitation assignment or return to the major league lineup.

"It's a surprise," he said. "I'm going to tweet it."

    So follow @HanleyRamirez.

Sure why should we not learn about the Dodger roster via random player tweets?

WTF is wrong with these fools?

Hanley could certainly help the SS situation. Now only if we had an impact OFer in our system who was major league ready...
