    the Dodger FO tried to get in on the recent Josh Hamilton trade..they wanted to add money and get prospects back. guess they had some guys in mind. i wonder if the Nerds would look to get in on a Ryan Howard trade?..basically send money to whomever is getting Howard, send Guerrero to the Phils along with a Zach Bird and say Ethier to get Hamels and one or two hand picked prospects in return from the Phils and the other team. some give and take, but it might be decent framework.

    I'm not worried about that because I do not think that the FO will involve Guerrero in a trade where we do not get a great player in return.

    don't know who Dave is, but personally, i'd rather they not deal Guerrero until they find out what they have in Olivera. i'm just saying..they were involved in the Hamilton talks recently and it wouldn't surprise me if they attempted to jump into Ryan Howard talks in the future. Howard is in a similar position..not a cokehead, but you get what i'm saying.

    On this we actually agree. Today's player are a much softer breed. There was no pitch count in our day. A guy like Tommy Lasorda would throw a guy out there until his arm fell off. Your former skip Dusty Baker tried to do the same thing but the players he had were nowhere near as durable as guys used to be.

    In all seriousness, why does Mattingly insist on throwing together the crappiest lineups when Kershaw pitches? Heisey in CF, Hernandez in RF. No wonder Clayton's FIP is nearly an entire point lower than his ERA. WTF @Donald Grape?

    Are you talking about my A Lineup? I save my best guys for Kershaw starts so he can dominate the league. Kershaw is 73-28 since I've been manager, so I obviously know what I'm doing.
