Thoughts? http://dodgersdigest.com/2015/09/23/dont-worry-about-the-dodger-pitching-worry-about-the-bats/ The offense needs to pull their heads out of their butts in the eleventh hour as we approach October.
Hear ya. But the Dbags have a great offense, good defense, and a decent bullpen. Their starting pitching just sucks. Still annoying of course to give up a bunch of runs. But they can score.
Your point is valid but so is TB's Dodger team BA June = .252 July = .248 August = .248 September = .242 Last 14 days = .235 Last 7 days = .201 Last Season = .265 This is NOT the trend for a successful playoff stretch Team hitters need a cranial rectal expulsion precisely as TB states
None of this matters, IMO. We made the playoffs and won the division. Homefield against the Mets could be useful but I give us a pretty good chance regardless. Hot and cold streaks going into the playoffs have routinely been proven meaningless.
Agreed. But since it was written by a writer I think most of is respect I figured I should post it. Get some convo going during this boring stretch before the playoffs.
I think home field is huge for us and hope they start playing a lot better and very soon. Alex Wood is a different pitcher at home and it's bit even close. With regards to the team, Adrian needs to get his head out of his ass, Joc needs to play, Seager needs to play and hope to all hell that Grandal gets healthy. On the weaknesses for the team, it's the BP and the wildcard of the #3 spot in the rotation. Again, if we are at home, Wood is a lock IMO and we are much tougher and better,
Not yet. I'm terrified that our 4 game series in SF might end up meaning a lot more than we initially thought
not so bad but I was sorting looking forward to the tradition of clinching at AZ just to soil their pool again
The offense got stagnant when the injuries started piling up. The team needs to get healthy and get Turner, Kendrick, Grandal, Crawford and Kike as many AB's as possible down the stretch. The teams been throwing out some weak lineups lately since they haven't been facing a ton of starting RHP and their best RH hitters have been hurt, SVS, Puig, Hernandez, Kendrick and Turner, when we face these guys. Luckily the team won't be facing too much LHP in the early round as the Mets only real threat is Matz and he has been struggling with command. The biggest key for the team here down the stretch is just to start getting healthy and hopefully start facing some damn RHP with regularity so DBB can put out a normal lineup. Let's hope that starts tomorrow with an Ethier, Pederson, Crawford OF and Gonzalez, Howie, Seager, Turner, Grandal IF.
It sounds that way. He is running at like 70% I think the report said. Just call this one a lost season for Puig. He needs to get his shit together this offseason. If rumors are true that he is becoming complacent with his approach, then 2016 very well likely will be his last year in LA. The team can put up with his shit when he is hitting .280+/.380+/.480+, but not if he comes into spring again out of shape and then refuses to workout during the season. Hopefully this year was a wake up call for him and we can again see that superstar right fielder we know he can be.
Yeah I'm a big Puig fan but... he has hurt his abilities to contribute and if you ain't gonna contribute then we don't need you.
