    What is amazing is the degree of just how bad Kershaw is...
    Everyone is getting what they want with this Cub blowout...everyone, once again, except Dodger fans.
    But he's so bad, that Buck and Smoltz are making excuses for him.
    "He's not right...missed two months, etc."
    To have to do that by these two who have been flogging the Cubs since before this series even, says something.
    What exactly it is, I don't know...but it sure ain't good for the Dodgers.

    and, we'll talk for hours on hours about Kershaw but... the Dodgers have 1 hit and have been awful in some of these games.

    The best pitcher on the planet should NEVER pitch a game like this in an elimination game. He's done this multiple times. 5 runs and counting? Unacceptable.

    I've been a huge Kershaw apologist. But there is no excuse for this. Didn't even give the team a chance.

    And yea, of course the offense sucks. It's filled with streaky, inconsistent players. They are totally to blame as well.

    the problem is we know how bad our offense is
    kersh is supposed to be our ace, our stopper, our rock
    would be one thing if it was 1-0
    but i'm sorry, any pitcher that puts their team in a 5-0 hole is not doing their job
    you expect this type of outing from maeda or urias
    but not from you're ace -- the supposed best pitcher on the planet

    One explanation for his failures may come off as an excuse but it's possible that CK feels like he has to pitch perfect knowing that one run could lose him the game with his inept teammates and it causes him to press.

    You know, I want to believe. I want to say that we have a chance. But year in and year out, we turn out to be so unclutch...so utterly without the balls to survive...that I just dont care to watch anymore.

    Maybe then I wouldnt care so much how pathetic each season ends.

    I'm too old for this shit.

    In the past, I'd say "well at least there's the Lakers" or more recently "the Kings". But it's hopeless with no light at the end of the tunnel.

    God I'm so depressed.
