Definitely surprised to find out the score this morning ..shouldn't have given up on them. The results from Kershaw and Graterol were deflating and depressing as hell. I hope Scherzer is resting or fortifying himself, or whatever he needs to do. TT just amazing. LA MVP ? Washington Nationals.
No doubt about it...I'm just glad the Padres didn't play Tatis and Cronenberg every game against us..must have been collusion. They probably would have beat us, considering their HRs when they did play...
im hanging my hat on this offense and the recent comeback wins get my stl and lets get it on boys oh and fuck the roiders from the north
Been on the east coast most of my life and it's killer. I've tried so many times to turn a game off to get some sleep but the anxiety of a Dodgers game being on while I try to sleep drives me crazy and I end up picking up the remote. I blame the Dodgers for the bags that are starting to develop under my eyes. I'd probably be dead if coffee didn't exist
Just so I get it straight...the Giants are roiders and other teams are colluding to let them win, right? Just want to get it right so I can discuss it at the F.E.S. meeting. Seminar today by someone from the NBA. Personally, I feel it's unfortunate that individuals know for sure that both league collusion and that they have permission to take performance enhancing drugs, unchecked by MLB...because your own greatness is measured by the greatness of your enemy. Should we go on to beat them, then all we did is beat a team of cheats and sanctioned drug takers, diluting our own victories. Too bad. I'd rather sing their praises after a well fought, year long fire fight with them. It only raises us to a higher plane. The Zulu sang their praise of the British at Rourke's Drift and Isandlwana... The Cheyenne and Lakota acknowledged the enemy if they fought well against them.. The Desert Fox praised Patton and Montgomery...etc., etc. But that was war, and all's fair in it, as the old nugget goes. I guess Al was right, all along.." Just win baby." Damn fucking right.
I've had the bb package since it's inception. In the beginning, I'd stay up and watch until the end. But as time went on, and a semi regular minimum sleep period became more important to overall health, I only make it to the 6th inning, tops. I've missed many a classic comeback over the years, including two this week alone. But that's the deal for east east Dodger fans.
Okay, as much as I hate the Gnats, I'll give them credit for what they've done season-to-date, and I've previously given Kapler props for being a better manager than Roberts (yeah, that's not saying much). And maybe calling it collusion was a little overboard and possibly just my frustration showing. But one opinion that I won't back down from is that all those teams - ARI and SD for sure, and possibly COL, got up for our games more than when playing SF, against whom they seemed to just be going through the motions. They relished playing the spoiler role against us and I just didn't see that against SF. I guess that should be a compliment and taken as a sign of respect. But I also can't help but wonder if the uneven competition made a difference in the end. But really, like huh? said, it shouldn't have mattered... had Roberts not pissed away so many potential wins earlier with his Bellinger stubbornness.
im not sure about colluding because those loser mads and dbacks looked equally shitty against us although they are resting guys after playing us fwiw as far as the roids thing i don't know any other lens to see it through the entire team having career years from journeyman pitching staff, end of career stars suddenly putting up career best numbers and every wade jr playing like an all star not to mention a manager that was kicked out of Philly is suddenly the latest Svengali i could handle them being competitive when no one thought they would be but the sheer dominance of their performance all year is highly suspect feels like 80 million votes
He should be considered BECAUSE he came over to a new team and helped them solidify their playoff run. Tatis and Harper, the two frontrunners that I hear mentioned the most, didn't even make the postseason and in Tatis' case, they fell flat on their face midway through. And why does MVP have to be all about power? What's wrong with runs, SBs, and BA (with some nice power mixed in)?
Just so I get this straight. Gnats control their destiny. If they win today or tomorrow the race is officially over. If the Dodgers lose today or tomorrow, the race was a officially over. If it’s tied after the next 2 games, they don’t go to head-to-head record? They play a 1 game decider for the NL West?
It seems like MVP is all about who the best hitter is nowadays and if that's the case, it should be Juan Soto by a landslide. Mike Trout has won countless times while being eliminated from the playoffs by July. What Soto is doing is unheard of....dude has only 88 Ks while walking 144 times and posted an OBP over .600 in September.
yeah, not happening even if we swept the brewers no way the pads take the next two from the giants padres just aren't good enough to overcome the giants performance enhancements, er, luck in fact, so sure am i that i've already created the w/c game thread
2nd and 3rd no outs for the madres in the eighth lets see how they fuck this up and tatis strikes out one down lol sac fly 2-2 up to wade jr to win the division doesn't matter if sd goes up by 7 they'll still lose
