    Yep - Sands better not whimper out, or he'll find himself buried, traded or sold to the South Koreans (remember Wilson Valdez). IDK why they are trying to make a 2Bman out of Castellanos - we already have half a dozen on the roster. I guess it's more than possible none of them hit over .230 - in which case he could be up and starting soon.

    I

    If asked about UrineBe, Ned will say "he's a slow starter", just like he said about Schmidt's fastball when it was topping out at 87 MPH. Remember? "he'll be getting back up there in the mid-nineties soon. All we have to do is wait...
    I just saw Andruw hit into a DP--he's now on the Yankees ! had no idea....
    And I watched the follow up film to "Once Were Warriors" last night...with Jake and the rest...didn't know one existed.

    Yeah, "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted". I haven't seen that one, but seen Once Were Warriors several times-- considered a must for anybody Polynesian like myself, movie is sad as shit. Really good, though.

    I don't know how I missed this debate. I am from Orange County and if someone asks where I'm from I absolutely do not say L.A. I might say North Orange County, Southern California, California, or near L.A. depending on who I'm talking to - but I'm not from L.A. and I know this.

    The Angels are fuckers. I hate them. And more specifically, I hate Angel fans. Ask Yankee fans and they will tell you they hate Mets fans. Mets fans hate Yankee fans. Angel fans hate Dodger fans. There's a system in place. And Angel fans are faggots.

    I am also from Orange County and when asked that's usually what I say. I will also say Southern California, Huntington Beach, and the LA area but I never say that I am from LA.

    Former #Dodgers 3B Casey Blake, with no hits this spring and nagging neck injury, in danger of not making Rockies.

    Yea, when I was in Norwalk I would just say "I'm from Norwalk. It's in south LA county"
    Now I say, "I'm from Cypress. It's between Long Beach and Anaheim" or something to that degree.

    I actually think what they are doing is the right idea. If IDJ suddenly turns into a stud, we move Young Alex to 3rd. If not (and it appears we have no trust in him), Young Alex would solidify the middle with a guy who can hit for avg and has some pop. Basically, you are getting a good player at a constantly rotating position. We are stacked in the OF. We need more IF and we created one. Think about your core. Your core as of right now is Dee, Matt, Kershaw, Jansen, and Guerra. After that, it is a bunch of guesses. I like fedex but he seems glove only at this point. We have some "interesting" stuff in the minors but we are pitcher heavy and do not have the best record of creating hitters. Pulling an OFer or 1st baseman from FA is not the most difficult. Getting a good guy for up the middle is extremely difficult (and we got very blessed with Carroll, so do not go there). I know what Ned was thinking with the Robinson trade. He was hoping to get a good catcher who could start young and stay long term (in the same vein as Russ), a decent pitcher in Fife who could be used as bait or to shore up the back end of a rotation. As far as Mitchell goes, has he been given a shot? A true shot? Has IDJ? No. We never give youngsters a long look unless we are desperate. This is thanks to Ned needing to spend on mediocre veterans with one or two good years. Loney and Ethier forced their way into the lineup. Hell, anyone remember how fucking hard Ned tried to push Gonzo on us despite Ethier tearing it up? Our problem is not that we have no players worth a shit, our problem is we have a GM who cannot plan past "veteran infielder x 10".

    The last time I actually went to an Angels game Andy Messersmith was pitching. So, it's been awhile.

    Over the recent years I would pass by the Angels broadcast on tv and always hear the exact same monologue by the Rex Huddler - about how manly Tim Salmon was - on and off the field. :kissass:

    Wait, here's the barf smiley::barf:
