there's that scenario someone created... you're stranded on a island with a (then) turntable and you get to choose five albums you can take with you for (presumably) eternity five is too few tbt, so is 10, but it gives a little more breathing room my 10 aren't necessarily based on best artist or even the artist's best album... just what i really loved/love listening to some of them bring me back to a time years ago one rule... no compilation or greatest hits albums • ziggy stardust / bowie • strange days / the doors • a new world record / elo • vu / velvet underground • some girls / rolling stones • toys in the attic / aerosmith • wish you were here / pink floyd • frampton comes alive / peter frampton • pretenders / the pretenders • the royal scam / steely dan * can't believe how many of my favorite artists didn't make the cut
I've had about eleven versions of this list over the years... Pretty solid list, Irish. I'm too Shattered (see what I did there?) to be clear-headed about my favorites, so to rank them, I'll copy/paste/replace yours and then make some amendments. • Lynyrd Skynyrd / Prounounced LYNYRD SKYNYRD • The Soft Parade / The Doors • New World Record / ELO • Feats Don't Fail Me Now / Little Feat • Exile on Main Street / Rolling Stones • Heaven & Hell / Black Sabbath • Wish You Were Here / pink floyd • Brothers & Sisters / Allman Brothers • Pretenders / The Pretenders • The Royal Scam / Steely Dan Those are just rock albums. Dave Beuneck & Harry James replace two of those of I had to do so. Sorry Berelioz and Bach is pressed.

Triple post first Btw, Contact With the Underground of Redboy is by Robbie Robertson, the front man from The Band. A Mohawk musical genius...
As much as I love all of them animals is the first album I would sit on the floor next to the record player in the light shadows with a bottle in my hand nodding my head next to someone doing the same and rarely speaking other than to sing along. Pink Floyd is the best at everything. Ride the lightning is my fav Metallica album and I have to have someone represent this king of music I really like. Mtv unplugged nirvana is my favorite unplugged album. Although if that's cheating I'll take heart shaped box. Led zep 1 because I love all that shit they stole from the black guys. If you gonna steal steal from the best. But I would cheat here too and take Song remains the same like Diablo lol. The last doors album la woman was special to me because I love their early bluesy songs and fat Morrison was at his throaty best. El nervio del volcan was a Spanish rock album at the height of that scene and caifanes probably the band I've seen live the most. BTW it's only logical that vulcan is the home of logical folks even if they don't drive Volkswagens they still children of the volcano that spits hot fire. Oh and I can't forget Sublime. But that's only 7 but in going to bed. Oh and the soundtrack to wizardry.
