Scouts actually don't do much in cricket. You can basically keep batting until you get out, the sample sizes are massive. If a school kid is hitting 113, 120, 86 and so on and so forth, why scout? You can't fluke it.

Of course the Rockies dropped 11 on STL the day after we score like half of that in 4 games vs them.

Sorry to sound like a Debbie Downer, but beating a crappg team is something that should happen on a regular basis (another problem with the Dodgers with respect to some "bad teams"). But unless the hand of God is behind you, like the '88 team, you need to man up against the cream of the MLB, something the Giants have done on a consistent basis since they have been on their 5 year run of excellence.

I hate repeating myself....we really need a new manager. Nothing is going to change until you have a master behind the wheel like Bruce Bochy. We need someone like that quick because this team is one good SP away from winning it all with a master manager behind the wheel. Or else, it's another 3 year rebuilding job after next year.

I respect Mattingly as a "should have been Hall of Famer", but like Dirty Harry said, everyone needs to know their limitations. Mattingly is a hitting coach, not a major league manager.
