Overall this is wonderful. Mostly because I hate the guys who were caught...especially the top two headliners.
Selig has to actually suspend his adopted son Ryan...and hurt his family's interest in the Brewers..he must be gnashing his teeth (whatever gnashing is) and wringing his hands (whatever wringing is). Except the fucking coward could have done something about it years ago, along with his cuntass predecessors. Kennesaw is turning over in his grave.
It's not like BB players didn't cheat in the past...damn, A spitball was cheating back in the day. And how come we aren't reading about the MVP award being rethought, since Braun's use was at the time he won it?

I've always been against the "caught one time, banned for life" thing because it is so black and white. Things could happen that are genuine mistakes and it could ruin a person's life. But I'm starting to warm to it.

Thinking of Braun: what happens if he gets a 2x time offense charge? What are the odds he does it again? He could play out the remainder of his contract as a .220 hitting, backup OFer who is booed by his fans - and I say there's about a 0% chance he touches it again until his contract is played out. All the "I felt pressure to live up to my contract" excuses would certainly disappear...

 

I like the aggressiveness, but I think teams need to have some accountability for what their players are doing too.

Your proposal is almost asking for a sinister team who signed a flailing young allstar to a $160 million contract, to give him "cortisone" injections in the shoulder, watch him fail a steroid test, have the contract voided, and receive 6 more years of team control over him.

I dunno, man...
