    With both him and Kike, it was just a matter of time before they regressed to their means. Couldn't expect all these neg WAR players that were acquired to play like all-stars forever.

    Kike watched two very hittable strikes and then flailed away at a pitch nowhere near the plate. Seriously think we should've let the Kike history end on the good note it did in 2020.

    It's been a while since I could pin a loss on Scarecrow, but this one is his. There is no way he should've let Vesia face Harris with two on when lefties hit .300+ off of him. He was already playing with house money as he got 4 outs out of Vesia. That was the difference in the game right there. He got greedy. Or doesn't know the stats. Or both. Either case, he's clueless.

    I hate that Strider gets a win he didn't deserve. Oh well. Let's see what happens tomorrow.

    we've hit fried before but yeah they have a better rotation especially w the injuries
    that will make it all the more fun to kick em in the bawls

    It's not fair or good sportsmanship for sure, but getting Kelly back to drill Acuna would be optimal. Just a precautionary MRI type thing.

    If JD is done for next year, then I say trade/sign for a slick fielding 3b, and move Max to DH. The constant barage from Joe & Orel about how much Max' fielding has improved is getting old and evoking the lyin'eyes thing. Yeah, he makes some nice hot corner stops, it's 3b, but overall, he can cost you a game, mostly with his arm and exchange.
    Sorta like Lynn, who can give you a gritty, yeoman like effort, and then, a last night. Long ball Lance.
    Just my tuppence, but the droning about how good he's become has reached Fahrenheit 451.
    Just like Outman has greatly improved in CF...when was he not good out there ? A week ?

    My Joe and Orel are Charlie and Rick and they too talk at great lengths on how much Outman's defense has improved. They actually don't say much about Muncy's though.

    Isn't Busch our 3b of the future?

    We need a complete lineup showing tonight to beat Fried. Mookie has struggled mightily against him over the years, and FF hasn't done much in his limited opportunities. Muncy has "out-Maxxed" Fried though (where's the ducking-the-thrown-tomato smiley when you need it?) , and this would be a game to start both Rojas and Rosario - they've combined for 16 hits off him. Historically Barnes has fared better than Smith - will be interesting to see what Davey does there.

    gotta give lynn another shot imo
    guy had a bad outing at a bad time, but has otherwise been pretty clutch for us
    especially since other than kersh and maybe pepiot, who else can you count on?
    miller has flashes but seems to give up runs in bunches whenever he’s given a lead
    julio is jeckyl and hyde
    but back to lynn
    before last night he had given up 7 runs in 31 innings for us, for a 2.03 era
    not saying he has to be in postseason rotation, just saying he deserves another look
