theyll win the division still imo. So, doesn't really mean anything. And Bryce plays a more valuable position

Latos first impression was 6 innings/1 run, no?

Not only first impressions, or second impressions, but as a person, how his Cincinnatti teammates felt about him is pretty telling...there is an email from Darth with a link which goes into it...guy is a prick pretty much. Or at least can be...maybe not on the LAD. Or maybe not yet.
I don't know what his reasons were, maybe he had them...but damn. Y'know, a cancer in the clubhouse and all...like Matt Kemp was supposed to have been.
Sounds like he's already had a problem with the Dodger pitching coach.
Was it the Red players or was it Latos ? Pretty telling when one says about Latos leaving the Reds, "it's addition by subtraction".
...and what does it matter if some fans hate a player, and another doesn't? so what?

What happened with the Reds' players? I remember hearing there was some beef in Spring Training but whoever I heard talking about it didn't go into detail.

Go back into the LA vs. Reds thread and look for an email from Darth in reply to a post I made...you should/could read it for yourself there.
I don't want to influence you by a tainted answer, as I don't hate him, but never liked him...ever.
However, I don't think he's fat; just his fucking head.
    Now that's fat...

They had bad words for each other when they left, some players said it was addition by subtraction. His Marlins teammates weren't too fond of him as well, according to reports

Thankfully he's just here a few months and not something long term so maybe he wants to shed that rep a bit before FA

Also, Don Mattinglys greatest strength is supposed to be that he can handle players like this and keep the clubhouse functioning. So go earn your buck, Don!

Wouldn't surprise me if they give him 2 maybe 3 more starts to show something other than his impression of a pitching machine then I'd bring Bolsinger back. The man only "lost" his spot because of the trade.

I hope to see him working with Grandal a few times before they go there. Latos' 1st start with us against the Angels was the 6th straight start where he went 6 quality innings.

Which is why I wrote a couple more starts and besides if he doesn't start missing bats it won't matter whose starting behind the plate. At this time of the year it's best not give away games by putting a starter out ere who cannot hack it. Let's hope he gets better.

All good. It's just that over his first 3 starts he's worked with Grandal once, so I was elaborating a little. Hopefully his next 2-3 starts (at least) are with the all-star behind the dish.

Latos had 7 strikeouts in 4.2 IP last outing.

And it seems every pitcher has more success with Grandal.

RF is more valuable than 1B? and they are 4.5 back. That is a pretty good lead the Mets have there.

RF is more difficult to play than 1B, yes. and I know I still think the Nats have more talent but damn have they underperformed

I don't know about the Nats having more talent. The clear advantage they were supposed to have over everyone coming into the season was supposed to be starting pitching and the Mets have come in and have one of, if not the best rotation in baseball this season.

Even considering the Mets' young starters, the Nats still have more talent. The everyday talent is what still separates the two teams. The problem is that much of the Nats' everyday talent hasn't been able to stay healthy this year.

Mets rotation is great but I wonder what happens this last month in a half when these guys get pushed further then they have before and/or if they have any innings limits
