    Im pretty alright with this actually if we add another pen arm. It doesn't appear we are standing pat. Carson smith from the mariners? Dude has been pretty good, better than our BS BP. SVS is as useless as ever on this team. Ship a small package around SVS so he can play with his daddy in SEA. Anyways, its clear the real deadline hasn't passed yet.

    6:05pm:Mark Saxon of ESPN Los Angeles reports that the trade will be completed within the next 24 hours. The Phillies are sending $4MM to the Dodgers to offset the remaining $5.85MM that Utley is owed.

    6:16pm: Zolecki reports that Darnell Sweeney is one of the two prospects heading to Philadelphia in the deal (Twitter link). As he notes, MLB.com ranked Sweeney 13th among Dodgers farmhands. The 24-year-old has played mostly center field this season but has experience at both middle infield positions. He’s batting .271/.332/.409 at the Triple-A level this year.

    We traded for this muthafucka Utley because of the last 8 games? Nah, can't be, can it? So even if he does supplant HK, who keeps us from losing when we are ahead from out of the BP? Who stops the bleeding?
    Why don't we take a look at Johnson/Wood/Avilan/Latos' numbers, too...the other great stars we traded for? That's working really well...
    And how come everyone else's "old ass" is a factor, but not this douchebag's old ass?
    And what about the "future"?
