    Marlin sweep.
Maybe the hurricane will create a power shortage and save us from this beatdown. No lights, no play.
I know things change from day to day, series to series, etc., But looking at this team the last two nights, it sure appears to be one that could not win a World Series again, much less get there in the first place.
With Lux being what he is, and Betts, Bellinger, Pollock being offensive zeroes, that's a major chunk of the lineup that you can reasonably expect very little or nothing from offensively. Add in some bad D, too...from you know who.
And the team's newly found super K rate is alarming, with the OF K numbers off the charts. I'm not absolutely sure, but they have whiffed a total of 14 times collectively in the last 2 games, I count. Astounding.
And no sense discussing Roberts and his inexplicable moves (imo), as they are a given for as long as he is in that dugout. The psycho micro management shows no abatement whatsoever, only increases to date.
    Anyway, nice try, Catman.

Agree. That he was bunting for a hit. Why? Have no idea.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to catcher on one knee with runners on should be shot.

Catcher has no chance to shift properly to block pitches in the dirt, especially catching someone like Treinen who scatters the ball around.

That said, I agree. Hold the fucking ball.

The amount of Ks recently are disgusting, to say the least.

    And thanks for nothing Bauer.

I mean you can’t really do much when you only have three starters

Well, our count on that differ, and on team that utilizes the BP even more than necessary, he could exercise a little more wisdom when a guy is doing fine...LIKE LAST NIGHT, for instance.
His propensity for micro management is at times, a weighty albatross around the neck of the team.
Gonsolin, last night, was doing just fine, had live bullets left, and he came with an early hook.
    What for ?
I think he talks to Joe Torre for advice, and theoretically has a team that's hard to fail with, just like Joe did.
But somebody is getting the absolute minimum, or near it, from some supposedly superstar players, imo. This is a looming problem until they " all round into shape".
He gets a lot from the pen...good shit, no doubt. But you can go to the well too much, and inevitably, come up dry as a bone.

Wow. Even worse than I thought.
Damn, maybe they should try putting a package together built around Pollock and someone else for a mid range pitcher who at least can do innings and help carry the load. I mean, really what is the value of Pollock against that?
It kind of sucks that nothing can be done about Betts and Cody except to wait. Until they "play like the MVPs they are".
    Or were.

Giants finally in that slump we hoped for and us facing the Marlins seems like a perfect mix but damn

And Albert batting second sounds good, too.
Tonight is chapter three in the tale: THE REVENGE OF DONNIE BASEBALL
And we are all witness to it...

The takeaway here is if we get embarrassed by the Marins a huge win streak is on the way
