2nd base might end up being his best position. Know he did really well there last year but not sure about 3rd tbh Just hoping we can find a way to add some life to the offense going forward. Lamb not being up really doesn't much sense as he's had success at the MLB level before and is killing minor league pitching. I must be missing something.
From a Q&A article in the Athletic......... Will Jake Lamb be called up in 2022? — Craig W. It’s an interesting question. Lamb has certainly produced, with a .969 OPS in Triple A entering Tuesday. He can force the Dodgers’ hand soon, too, with an opt-out if he’s not promoted to the big-league roster by early July. I think he does come up, but it might take some roster creativity.
Every inning he pitches, he's allowing an average of 1.5 runners to reach by hit or walk. That's just not a closer - period. I don't blame management for taking a wait-and-see-if-he-adjusts approach up to now, but the sample size is now large enough where they'd better have a plan B, and if they don't, it's time to make one.
Whatever the record is for most base running outs in a game, the Dodgers must have it in their sights. Ditto for the season record.
