Ruiz was given Brock's #51 when he came over and Brock was in the minors so didn't really have a say. When Ruiz found out he had actually taken his number, bought him a watch. Pretty common, still thought it was a neat story to share

I lost power for many hours, so couldn't see it all. Strangely, there was enough power getting through for one dim light, and radio, so I heard it. When that play at home happened, Sterling said, it could have been tossed underhand and they would have had him by 10 feet. He went off on the Yankees and said they didn't deserve to win because errors let the Dodgers score. Went on and on about it... I can see an announcer not being a homer, but excoriating the team you work for is way weird. But it still lingers on my mind...wtf was Turner doing running from third on a tap back to the pitcher? And MVP Corey ( in my world) gets the whole thing rolling...yeah boyos.
Rather have an announcer tell it like it is as opposed to an excuse making homer and yes, I know what a homer Sterling is. Turner might have been told to go on contact. Either that or he went seriously brain dead.
