Instagram: Puig Reposts Photo, Uses #IWillNotBeADistraction by Vincent Samperio | Dodgers Nation -- 9 hours ago Since his debut in June 2013, Yasiel Puig has become one of the more polarizing players in the big leagues. While he is revered for his play, natural talent and energy, he is also criticized for his showmanship, bat flips and fundamentals. This all led up to a benching in Game 4 of the NLDS by manager Don Mattingly, despite his strong play all season. Those not in Los Angeles can consider Puig and his antics as a detriment to the team, but his numbers and energy speak for themselves. He has a .305 career average in those two years with 35 home runs and helped the Dodgers to two NL West titles. Possibly hearing these rumblings, Puig took to Instagram and reused a photo from a Fox Sports article before the 2014 season. His caption adds to the fun of the photo.

I can't remember or don't have a solid link for the interview, but in a Bob Costas interview Costas could tell that Puig knows English but just is shy about speaking it. I mean, idk maybe he does have someone helping him translate (although he does have typos at times that seem authentic lol) but it might be simply a case of him understanding it and having a simple grasp of reading/writing but not being comfortable speaking it with I'm assuming an accent. I know plenty of Spanish first speakers who can read write and understand English but shy away from speaking because it doesn't come out sounding right and there's always a fear of being mocked
Yasiel Puig #uribe super excited when I told him less than a week for us to report to spring training. #americannaturalhistorymuseum #nyc #asg
I love Puig. I wish I had his outlook on life. He gets a lot of flack from the media, but he seems to really enjoy life and have fun wherever he is....keep doing you.
Did he weigh in at 600 or so pounds? I can't get over the big deal every one made last year about his report in weight. And all they compared it to was his end-of-season weight, which is stupid.
