seems like they used to do it but maybe the higher velocities make it too dangerous? just trying to understand why its a lost art have been thinking its all analytics but hadn't considered the risk of injury being a possibility
sadly, most of today’s fans don’t want to see pitching duels, hit and runs or fundamental baseball bunts don’t put butts in seats but 450 ft bombs do, and owners are keenly aware of it small ball is dead
Definitely the former. Although bunting has to much a whole lot more difficult when the average fastball is 94-95.
Roberts on Ohtani's bunt: “I was very surprised. Pleasantly surprised,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “I like guys that think the game and play the game the way that you’re supposed to play it." My self-imposed negativity ban still has a couple of weeks, so I'll refrain from further comment on this. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ml...S&cvid=7e1f69b4c3b349ac80122b696cf61947&ei=15
hey doc… if you want guys to think and play a certain way, tell them! you’re their boss — it’s your job to tell them what you want them to do, you feckin simpleton
what a complete and utter zero like there's anything preventing him from having that play on in strategic situations although we all know what happens when it comes time for strategy
