    seems like they used to do it but maybe the higher velocities make it too dangerous?
    just trying to understand why its a lost art
    have been thinking its all analytics but hadn't considered the risk of injury being a possibility

    sadly, most of today’s fans don’t want to see pitching duels, hit and runs or fundamental baseball
    bunts don’t put butts in seats but 450 ft bombs do, and owners are keenly aware of it

    Definitely the former. Although bunting has to much a whole lot more difficult when the average fastball is 94-95.

    what a complete and utter zero
    like there's anything preventing him from having that play on in strategic situations
    although we all know what happens when it comes time for strategy
