How much hate this guy has for the Dodgers.

You probably already know about him auctioning off the Dodger 1988 World Series gear. When asked, "Why did you auction off your Dodger stuff but not your Tiger stuff?"...He relied, "I have my reasons".

Then he refuses to catch the first pitch from the Bull Dog tonight.

This guy acts like he was never a Dodger. And although his fire and no-nonsense demeanor is one of the biggest reasons he (and the Dodgers) were successful...you get the impression he NEVER looked upon the Dodger organization fondly even when he was here (although that's just from what I've seen/heard of the past).

What gives with this guy? I realize he's the D-Bags manager now, but this has been going on long before that.

I'll bet Mike Sosh will have some class when he comes to town and catches a first pitch on his bobblehead night.

Kind of fucked up, but meh. There's some bad blood not that the D-Fags are trying to make a rivalry with us ala the dodgers-gnats and he did have Kennedy throw at Clayton last night. Still, you're a fucking World Series hero in this town, catch the fucking ball from your former pitcher.

Out of pure curiosity, and I don't think theres a right or wrong answer, would you guys be mad if Donnie caught a ball in a regular season game against the Yanks?

Stuff like this is about the fans. If Gibson has something against the Dodgers, that's his own business, but he should at least put aside his vendetta for the fans sake. Shame on him.

I think the worst part is that its not like Arizonas fanbase is gonna get mad haha. I'd maybe understand if he was coaching a high profile team where he'd get scrutinized for it but come on, it's barely his second year managing a team that has like 17 fans

Meh... I could take it our leave it. He's the manager on a division rival, so the request put him in a tough spot.

If we were at Yankee Stadium and Mattingly caught the first pitch I wouldn't care one bit. He was with the Yankees for 30 years. If it was a former gnat catching a gnat first-pitch, I would feel differently.

No. He was a Yankee. He played there and had a great career there. Nothing wrong with that.

I think the whole organization wants a real rivalry (ala the Dodgers/gnats) so bad they will do anything. Mark Grace's stupid comments where he said any day the Dodgers lost was a good day. They want to start something.

I don't even know what he would have against us. Unless Fernando and Orel double-teamed his wife in the locker room after 88, why is he so angry at the club? We do nothing but praise him. His HR will live in infamy and he doesn't even want to acknowledge it?

He is part of Dodger lore and history then. Always will be...on the other hand, now he's a scumbag and a jarhead who called CK a "motherfucker" clearly. So he can go fuck himself.
And how come he never talks about the time Fernando picked him up by his collar and pinned him against the wall? And the time the BP catcher told him to go fuck himself when he accused him of putting faceblack in his hat band?
Nobody's afraid of you Kirk...the newsreel will always be in our hearts...however, you, classless tough guy, can go pound salt.

    Yeah, supposedly.
All during the "I'll kill whoever did this" Jesse Orosco (I believe) faceblack in his hat incident. Kirk's not too much of a practical joke guy. And evidently, he accused a couple of the wrong people during his witch hunt. The BP catcher, whoever it was, was supposed to have been the toughest guy in the game. Like Johnny Roseboro.
Fernando, just wasn't in the mood for his shit I guess.

I know Mark Cresse was the bullpen coach, just can't remember the catcher.
