Fine. In that case I'm officially boycotting this thread until you come to your senses. I mean, after all, you ditched a perfectly good News/Rumors/Discussion thread just because the playoffs were about to start-now you refuse to put an end to a thread DATED a year ago? WTF? I think this is called b-i-a-s.
I get what you're saying to try it out first but no shooting is going to cripple that team... If we can get Ingram in the draft (who I'm really high on) Derozan could fit in better. Could they play small ball with Derozan or Ingram at the 4? Clarkson as 6th man is also an option that has always intrigued me.
They wouldn't always play together, mix in DLo, Lou, Anthony Brown, Nance, guys who can shoot. But more importantly, they're not drafting Simmons and these other guys with intentions of winning the title next year, meaning leave some room for improvement moving forward. Scouts expect Simmons to improve his shot, Randle is improving his shot, Clarkson's already a more respectable shooter from the outside this year shooting 34% from 3. Guys improve, I mean Clarkson shot 30% from 3 last year. It just may take some time, but that's the whole point of building through the draft and developing young guys. Ingram's not ready to play the 4 in the NBA, so that would also be something that'd take time, may be somethin they'd do in a couple years after he's spent countless hours in the weight room. I like that idea tho, love Ingram's skillset
Vitti wants Kobe to be shut down for 2 weeks. We need to be rooting hard as fuck against that, team is obviously worse when Kobe plays, silly ESPN hacks on the radio yesterday asking " what's the downside of sitting Kobe? " Dubs/Lakers tonight tho and Dubs coming off a loss, they should be ready.
not to mention (AGAIN) that there is an entire drop down menu just for the Lakers.. which no one cares to use... cuz DSP equals CHAOS THEORY... man so don't make me explain no nothings to you again.. ya hear? the lunatics have long ago taken over the asylum
LAL had me scared for a sec last night, you don't expect a 3pt game with the 3rd quarter winding down. Good show on national TV I guess. Knew Randle would show up against Green, Randle/Green has the makings of a nice lil rivarly
Ish Smith is becoming one of my favorite players. He might be the reason the Lakers end up with Ben Simmons.
And Whiteside is becoming 1 of mine. Dude is Bynum-funny with these interviews. Watch this one from a couple days ago, skip to 00:30 secs in the vid and tell me that's not some Bynum shit Haha Most 7 footers that are worth their salt are weird/egotistical characters, I dig it.
The Lakers are said to be open to trading guard Nick Young and center Roy Hibbert, but neither seem overly attractive on the trade front, especially if the Lakers have to take on salary that runs into the 2016 salary cap year. 19 hours ago – via Basketball Insiders The player that’s more likely to be moved is forward Brandon Bass. The Lakers tried Bass on at a low dollar amount hoping he could contribute and be something of a tutor for forward Julius Randle. With the Lakers going nowhere fast, Bass is one of the guys the front office is expected to move by the deadline. Bass has been nursing a problematic foot, so that is a concern, but the sense is the Lakers will be players at the deadline and Bass could be on his way out. 19 hours ago – via Basketball Insiders
