that triple by puig was crazy. you could see at his at bat he was sitting on that pitch and was gonna swing as hard as he could, fuck the patience mcgwire philosophy. he was so aggressive he was a bit outfront but just muscled, pimped that out. he really shouldnt have tried for third, but he was showing off there. i think i saw wallach talking to him, i think puig still doesnt know who he is, why he keeps bothering him lol.

i was worried about ryu early on. his velocity was way down. you could tell the humidity bothered the bigger dudes. when jansen went in, he was immediately huffing and puffing. that weather wasnt even brutal.

Craziest season in a long time. Feels like just yesterday I was depressed about us being in last place and was thinking this season was lost. What an unbelieveably fast turnaround

Did anyone notice Hairston's rbi single coming off the bench? I know it wasn't really needed but that's good shit.

It's guys doing shit like that in the postseason that sometimes makes the difference. Usually the nonames make the biggest splashes in the world series. When Jerry hairston is probably the worst player on your team, your team is damn good.

This is totally wrong. You cannot just assign a time based off of a time for a different distance. Dee probably runs a 4.35 40, not a 4.22.

The issue with just dividing by 3 and multiplying by two is that it takes longer to get to top speed. Thus, the short the distance, the slower average MPH is and time/yard.

This series vs them have given me a level of pure confidence that I don't think I have ever enjoyed with Dodger Baseball.

    Gotta say, It's kinda awesome.

One of my friends that's a Dbag fan told me that we should just "focus on next year" like a month ago. Needless to say, I don't hear from that guy that much anymore. Lmao.

Kershaw today confirmed that he's the best pitcher in the league. Not Harvey, not Wainwright, not Hernandez, etc. The way he handled that bases loaded situation was fucking brilliant.

It's truly amazing how Kershaw kept his cool despite Dee Gordon fucking him over not once, not twice, but 3 times.

I hope we fuck over Harvey. Dude is fucking pitching way over his head. His ERA, WHIP, and BB/9 in the minors were not impressive. Pretty fucking average, actually. I would just hate to see another pitcher rob Kersh of his Cy Young award because BSPN is riding his dick (ala Dickey). That being said, I hope we bring Harvey back down to Earth in a couple of days.

    ^ Wrong thread bkitch.

Anyway, I think it'll come down to CK and Wainwright. Harvey probably won't get that many wins because he plays for the Mets, and Wainwright's ERA has been progressively rising. It's CK's award to lose IMO.

Yeah, I realize that now. :(

    I agree.

Is Wainwright injured, btw? He was supposed to pitch yesterday and didn't even pitch today, so it's not an extra day's rest.

Nobodies stealing shit from Kershaw. Dudes getting the CY and is probably going to be in the running for MVP if we keep scoring runs for him.

They will not ignore a 1.88 ERA on a 1st place club.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he got MVP recognition. Another person who I think should is A-Gon. If he can get his average above .300, hit around 25 bombs, and have 100+ RBI, I'd have to think he'd be considered as well.

Yeah, Adrian won't get those numbers though IMO. He'll be ignored...Hanley or Puig are more likely to get votes, as wrong as that may seem.
IMO though, Hanley is our MVP since I don't like pitchers to get it and Clayton will not win 22 games. Hard to say CK is MVP with well under 20 wins(probably the only time I'd put weight into the W-L stat would be in an MVP argument).
