Love putting Hanley in the 3 spot.

Interesting. I'm assuming withrow is getting sent down til September

Same. Our best hitters going 1 and 3 should be great

@jphoornstra: Volquez says his role hasn't been defined yet.

That's pretty interesting to me. The fact volquez signed on not really knowing what his role would be shows he signed cause he believes the dodgers can help him and he wants to be here regardless of role. (Maybe I'm being optimistic about it, but still)

@BillShaikin: Colletti: Volquez to pitch in pen for now.

Nice! Can have him be the long man/true mop up and in September basically make it a competition between Wilson, Marmol, league and withrow for the middle relief, with Withrow/Wilson probably leading the way.

I like Hanley in the three spot as well. Now AGon won't slow up the faster runners behind him. Win-win

McTiernan: Volquez role is undefined. It would seem , since he has been given a pail and a mop, it probably is, at least for now.

Finally saw "42", after an interminable amount of time. I'm so culturally current and aware. LOL.
I was impressed mostly with the breast size of the black beauty who played Rachel Robinson. Upper echilon sweater meat, for sure.
It's funny, Anthony Perkins played Jimmy Piersall, and the guy actually threw like a girl, in the classic sense.
Gary Cooper played Lou Gehrig, and looked like he never played BB in his life.
William Bendix and John Goodman were pretty laughable as Babe Ruth. the guy who played PeeWee played ball for sure sure....Lucas Black. He played the kid some years ago in "Slingblade".
All the guys who could actually play, and have, played fictional characters, like Costner and Redford.
The one guy who portrayed a non-fictional BB player who could play a little, was in that film "The Jackie Robinson Story"...he was pretty good, as I remember.
What was his name? Oh yeah....Jackie Robinson.
I realize this is the wrong forum. Too lazy.

good...Hanley should be hitting 3rd all the time, but it also looks like Donnie is gettin that 5-hole ready for Kemp as they start out right-left-right now
