Oh we went 2-4 on our last road-trip? We must have played the Braves and Cardinals.

What's the point in that? So Guerra can blow the game in the 7th instead of the 9th?

It's amazing how much fortune has been thrown this teams way and how many games they have absolutely blown. This marks the 6th bullpen loss of the season.

    just switch roles
i'd rather he give up a run in the 7th where we at least have a chance to comeback than give it up in the 9th

I'm surprised no one bitched about this, but Kennedy should have caught that fucking ball.

Was Javy hungover from Cinco de Mayo, or is he this shitty? Or possibly both? Probably both.

If they cut Guerra tomorrow, I wouldn't bat an eyelash...other than smile. I don't care how hard he throws, or what he did last year for us...plainout, straight up, he's a loser. He's scared, and taking a liner of his jaw doesn't change what he throws up there for opponents to hit. He's not a closer, and I really wasn't convinced even last year. How many times do we have to endure this with Guerra? he's got a hand in half the team's losses.
Well always have useless POS like Kennedy, because of Colletti. It's been his way since he came over.
Kennedy, like he did on that bouncer, seems to be mailing it all in , IMO. To me, it's obvious...IDK why, but who the fuck is he to have an attitude? He's lucky he's with anybody. A boring, low energy player...when this guy is having sex, and wants to hold off from ejaculating, he thinks of himself having sex.
Time for DBB to take the bull by the horns, or we'll be looking up at somebody by the end of the month. We are not playing like a good team.
And can you imagine getting to the post, and depending on Guerra to save a game? iI's a nightmare scenario, in my mind. Shudder....

I'm really upset Guerra blew it again, it sucks. But you can't sanely and logically say you want him off the MLB roster cause he can't close games. That's like saying we should cut Ethier if he doesn't hit like a cleanup hitter. I think you definitely put Jansen as closer but you take it slow cause if Jansen fucks up as a closer (which he has) you're down to closer #3 ... I still think you should put Jansen as closer and Lindblom is your 8th inning guy or 7th if its middle of the inning

But oh well, let's go home with a great record and beat the ppl we really needa beat

I like the pitching match-ups against SF. At this point, I'd rather face Lincecum than Cain. Kersh and Bills need to be our slump busters.

Imo, your numbers don't jive. There is no number one, not in reality. If you think Guerra is closer quality, then that's your business...but a guy whose been doing what he has for a while is not a closer on even crappy teams. I don't know where you use a guy that gets lit up time after time, but it ain't in the bottom of the ninth. I think that's all people want...get him out of the closer spot. I mean how much more does he have to do to prove he can't do it? And maybe he does need to sort out some stuff in AAA for a while. he came up from AA didn't he...he did well...but that's past. Something ain't right...
And truthfully, I don't know if Jansen or Lindblom do the job either. maybe. maybe not. Maybe we don't have a closer. Could be.
And it has nothing to do with Ethier stinking as cleanup hitter. Tomorrow, (hopefully) Dre can go back to the 5 hole, after Matt comes back, and produce runs again. Guerra can't fix it by the return of somebody...he's out there alone, and it's all on him.

Javy needs to be moved to the 7th. His stuff is good when the pressure is off. When it is on, it tends to stay in the zone. We have a ton of dead weight right now and roster moves need to happen. Kennedy needs to go. His uppercut swing does not work anymore. We have a chance to win now and in the future if we play our cards right. This means trading for a young hitter. We have the excess in minor league pitching. We need to take advantage of it. We need to walk into the offseason having filled at least on need with a younger player via trade. I too am voting for Tolleson. I say give Coffey one more outing and then cut bait.

It's time for Donnie to man up. He needs to be that manager that's not afraid to say "If you're not going to do your job, then I have an organization full of people willing to take it". He needs that bad ass mentality.

Cant have the guy blow 4 games and let him keep his job. You just cant. This organization needs to operate like a full on contender right now.
