Oregon has a 4-0 turnover margin advantage and are losing, this is a bad sign.

    I want Oregon to win.

Score is a lot closer than the game was....OSU was a lot better and should have won by 30+ if not for really bad turnovers.

The Ducks and their flashy uniforms remain without a title. Urban Meyer is a helluva coach.

    Ducks fail again.

I guess it's up to USC to bring greatness back to the conference....as usual

Mariota 100% unimpressive. Looking like a product of the Oregon system.

    :this:

I heard this morning on the Dan Patrick show that the NCAA is looking at "giving back" the wins they took away from Penn State after the scandal. Patrick agreed with it, which I find amazing. Used to like him, but he obviously has no clue as to the crime that was committed here.
Dismantling the program is what they should have done, nothing less. Let all of the kids transfer to another school. I find it amazing that the national media says and does nothing about this tragedy. Every one of those kids that were molested should sue Penn State, NCAA, and the state of Pennsylvania for everything they can.

To think that a free house or some cash is a larger crime in the eyes of the NCAA sickens me. I hope that all of those fucks in the NCAA that treated this with little or no regard for the victims all burn in hell.

    So said... GO BUCKEYES!!

I thought that it would come down to defense and the Buckeyes Defense showed up big time. Both teams had good quarterbacks though it was quite apparent that the Buckeyes #3 QB was not in any way inferior to the Heisman winner Mariota. In fact, as noted above, Mariota looked rather ordinary and unlike a true Heisman winner.

And it became apparent that the Duck's had no answer for Ezekiel Elliot either... 246 yards in a championship game after running for 230 in the Sugar Bowl... do the Duck's not believe in scouting or game plans?

To give up 4 turnovers and still win convincingly says a lot about how good the Buckeyes program is under Urban Meyer.

Oh and wow they almost choked (yet again) in the 3rd quarter but somehow collected themselves and continued to throttle the Duck's handily. I had to pause the game long enough to let my blood pressure settle for a few moments there.

I also liked that the last 3 Buckeyes games came against the top 3 Heisman candidates... and they beat all three soundly. Dang. Shows once again how much or how little the writers know. Even Vegas had OSU as 7+ point underdogs against both Alabama and against Oregon. Shows how much or little Vegas knew too.

Permit me to revel in this for a moment or two.... GO BUCKEYES!!

And to think many pundits were grumbling that Baylor or TCU should have been given the 4th spot.
Congrats to The Ohio State University...they proved they were the best team.
And made the best possible argument for extending the playoff format to 8 teams.

    well said hark
just a total joke how firm the totalitarian ncaa is on housing, meals, clothing, parking, whatever
and then then essentially slap penn state's hands when an actual crime was committed
the penn state football program should have been given a death sentence (not just threatened them with one), and there should have been even harsher penalties on recruiting/scholarships
even as a ucla alum, i can see the hypocrisy between usc's penalties and penn state's
how can the ncaa not see it
i was always meh on penn state; never really liked nor hated them
    and i always respected paterno
but turning a blind eye to what sandusky did was shameful and inexcusable

And in reply to other posts..
    1) "F" the spoiled children of USC. My USC alumni buddy's are all whining that they can't win when they lose a couple of scholarships. This is all whiney horseshit, how about winning with student athletes? Oh, nevermind... those don't exist??

    2) Also "F" the spoiled alumni of USC, the coach knew damned well what goes on in his program, or is supposed to. And Cheater Pete Carroll simply heads to the NFL without a single penalty and makes millions per year while leaving the program in shambles

    3) And in fairness to strike a bit closer to home, the Ohio State coach lost his job, without an NFL fallback, when students were trading practice worn sweaty T shirts for tattoo's... but somehow his resignation meant no other penalties to the Buckeye program?

    4) which brings us neatly to... "F" the NCAA for all the reasons already stated. One would have to look far and wide to locate a more biased, bought and paid for group of hypocrites than these guys. (Ooops OK Congress is easy to find... but otherwise...) Will ANY NCAA official EVER be penalized? Of course not. Nothing better could ever happen to college football than to eliminate the NCAA... though that pipedream is pure folly

    5) Finally I completely agree about Penn St being under penalized when compared to these other things noted above. The program suffered not at all for their long term condoning of that asshat coaches felonious series of molestations. Not sure what the program deserves but in any event it should have been worse than it was. However please note that in our zest to gather pitchforks and tar there was one Penn State coach that paid the ultimate price. That whole scandal absolutely killed Joe Paterno. Within days of it breaking he was dead. Not that he may or may not have lived so much longer but the scandal breaking resulted in his immediate death by disgrace.

And unlike the Muslim morons who declare a jihad against someone for the most trivial or bone headed reasons I can't find it in myself to join a lynch mob... of any sort. Though I agree that it is inexplicable and deplorable how Penn St. got off with the wrist slap it did.

I would like to say I feel bad for him but I don't. All those years this shit was going on, there is NO WAY that he didn't know. I'm glad they took down his statue. If his name or any of the records that happend during his tenure are still a part of Penn St, then we haven't learned a thing.

Him dying is the ulitmate price? Fuck that. Put yourself in the place of one of those poor kids. He's dead, who cares. Those kids are still living and are scared forever. You can hate USC, I enjoy the banter back and forth, but for anyone (NCAA & Penn St alumni) to trivalize what happend to those kids is an utter disgrace.
Does this go for Penn St too???

Yup...the kids always get fucked (homo), but the coaches and the schools walk away with a pittance.
It's a broken institution thats been corrupted to the core by money.

Absofuckinglutely it applies to Penn State.

No way in hell ole Joe Pa DIDN"T KNOW. And he paid with his life was all I stated.

Now what the "F" happened to the actual molester? Beats the "F" out of me... but someone needs to beat the "F" out of him in my eyes.

    Well said.

But the NCAA will say "It's not as if one player's mother took money from a sports agency in southern California".
