tried to make a poll but it doesn't allow enough choices so instead we'll have to do it manually probably better anyway have at it... Sandy Alomar, Jr. Jeff Bagwell Craig Biggio Barry Bonds Jeff Cirillo Royce Clayton Roger Clemens Jeff Conine Steve Finley Julio Franco Shawn Green Roberto Hernandez Ryan Klesko Kenny Lofton Edgar Martinez Don Mattingly Fred McGriff Mark McGwire Jose Mesa Jack Morris Dale Murphy Rafael Palmeiro Mike Piazza Tim Raines Reggie Sanders Curt Schilling Aaron Sele Lee Smith Sammy Sosa Mike Stanton Alan Trammell Larry Walker Todd Walker David Wells Rondell White Bernie Williams Woody Williams
I don't see Bonds and Clemens making it in until the writers change there stance.. They have kept out McGwire for years now... Now some are saying that if they don't get caught or haven't came out and said they did it then they should make it in... Well I guess Big Mac should have kept his mouth shut then.... WTF is that teaching our kids and baseball fans...
^ i'm truly torn on it should we keep people out who have earned their way in, legitimately or not? or should cheaters, presumed or otherwise, be penalized?
If I remember the Shoeless Joe Jackson story right he didn't have anything to do with the WS Scandal but with job being apart of the team they banned him anyways.... There is another side of the story for everyone and they kept them out..
he was banned because he allegedly knew about the fix but didn't say anything same with teammate buck weaver
Good question, I don't think anyone will get the required number of votes. Lee Smith MAYBE (3rd all-time saves). 1st real ballot with "steroid" period guys.
Jeff Bagwell Craig Biggio Barry Bonds Roger Clemens Edgar Martinez Mike Piazza Tim Raines Curt Schilling Alan Trammell Larry Walker Seems about right.
This is interesting...and based on what the HoF is all about, no one in their right mind would argue with you on this. However, Shoeless Joe, whether he had outstanding stats or not during the duration of the series or not, did take the money. And the fact that he didn't lay down , makes him just as gulity....and very lucky Rothstein didn't have him clipped. Buck Weaver didn't take the money. I suppose you could even make the same type of arguement against Rose, but I know what you are saying.
Duh I forgot Biggio had 3,000 hits, he's in. Thinking about it some more I'd pick Bagwell and yes even Clemens. 7 time CY Young winner is amazing.
AMEN BROTHER!! Yes to see the definitive evidence that these guys used. We can guess but assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. No skin off my nose if they all get in. Except Bonds just because is an ass clown.
Especially when there are tons of cheaters in the Hall already. As much as I love baseball, there's a lot of dirty in it going all the way back.
"all the way back"? To when? When Babe Ruth drank whiskey and smoked cigars in the dugout? And how was 'that' cheating? or did you mean all the way back to when peanut nuts Canseco was first caught?
