Here is my olive branch. Ill tell you what to do again. Just take it. I dont ask anything of yall. I appreciate it when folks care. I enjoy when folks understand. I dont ask folks to compliment me. In fact i shy away from it. Im still insecure enough that i feel awkward at any type of praise. What i do ask without asking is that you dont shit on it. Specially if you are one that cares and understands. If you shit on it then its way worse than if someone else does. Writing how i write helps me process the world. Its only one of a few ways that i do this. I have others that are too weird for yall to even know about. What you get here on dsp is scraps. Quick thoughts that rumble through my mind which i play with in a post so i can further work them in my minds mine to quarry them later when i need them. What i write here is at best an outline of what i write elsewhere. Its toenail clippings in volume comparison to the rest of the body. I am a rube in every way it applies. I do shit ass backwards but it comes out alright. Ive also not lived a life that any smart person would say is smart. I make mistakes everyday. I am joker im a grinner im a picker and im a sinner. I am not smart. I am happy. And would rather be happy than smart. I dont know anything about being smart. I know to be kind to others and to share everything. Including my thoughts and prayers. Whay is a prayer than a request delayed? Its a wonder its a thought. And its the thought that counts. I know that money does grow on trees and can easily go up in smoke. I know how to make a tree grow 3 times as fast and give twice its yield of fruit while being healthier than conventally grown ones. Because conventional wisdom is for the birds and im a man. I am a bird lover though I have a wife a mother god willing soon ill have a son and maybe even figure out how to get my father out of the hole he is in and have him too. I am incredibly rich and all my dreams are materializing before my eyes. All my enemies become my friends. I do not want what i havent got. Out here in the fields i fight for my meals. What im building out here will come. Maybe you come around someday and play baseball with us. The exodus is here the happy ones are near. I grow papayas and fight gophers. I play with deer and feed them sugarcane. I live in the woods and have a priceless view. I get by with a little help. Ill give a little bit a little bit of my life to you. Look at me im old but im happy. I get money for nothing and chicks for free.
Again, I suggest that you don't assume that what you take away from baseball posts defines a person and whether they are happy, or fullfilled...whatever. No one can take all that spiritual content from a post about Yasiel Puig and any other players, no matter how many times they play the pessimist, like me. Not from just the written word on a baseball website. You can accurately gauge that one is frustrated with the team and down on Dodger things..sure. It really does stop there, though...or not too far beyond there. I' m glad you are happy Rube, especially in your marriage. It is the greatest gift. I do appreciate your olive branch. No saber rattling here. A true detente. I will consider your suggestions, as I wrote. I have no wish for war. I've done that on many levels. And it was real for me. No fairy tale. No tips needed. There is just misunderstanding, and disagreement. Here and everywhere. I have learned one thing, if no other, I do not need to be right. No need, or getting there, bit by bit. Others here hold it above all else, and would gladly ridicule immediately whenever disagreed with at the drop of a hat. I recently asked a poster what he meant, and the answer was pure sarcasm and vitriol. That is unhappiness. I do wish to understand however, what I have read, and am unsure of ; if I took away proper meaning. I want to take away what the other person meant, clearly. That is why I asked you what I did and tried to explain that your answers sometimes are murky, for me. If you do answer at all. Biblical pentameter is sometimes a bit too cryptic for baseball stuff. I didnt say you were unhappy. If you took me talking about my happiness as an inderect jab at yours know that i meant it in contrast to your point about me not being as smart as i think i am. I dont care how smart i am viewed or if people think i am a dumb smart ass. I do care to love and be loved which makes me happy. But ill gladly rub someone the wrong way and be ok with that. My shtick is not everyones cup of tea. Manly men look at me like a pansy or a loser or worse but they run like girls at the first sign of trouble while i stomp on the snakes head and pick it up by its tail then slam it to the ground. I turn around and laugh at men who cant fathom how i live and what i care about and what i dont. I let them protect their image. They are idol worshippers of that image. I protect whats real. And as murky as you think my words can be... Im the most open book youll ever read.
Rube, (wrong thread I know) You have got to be correct on one point.. you're an open book. No one doubts where you're coming from... they may not understand, or care but they/we can see your stance. If I were to abridge your statement I'd say that you're an "open book of poetry"
