seriously though, the season ain't over or anything but this team was down by a lot in the standings and lost the best pitcher on the planet meanwhile already dealing with the loss of a couple of their middle of the rotation guys, and did this. Had an outfield that had all 3 of its starters injured at some point in time, injured starting catcher, injured depth pieces, and they just kept going at it. The pieces that came in weren't always pretty but have done their job. I hope it continues and continues and doesn't fall apart. Keep winning series.
have to admit when kersh went down i thought we were done would have been surprised to have stayed <10 games out never imagined we'd make up 8 games and be tied for 1st
Justin Turner is our best third baseman since the great Wilson Betemit. Might even be slightly better. Controversial, I know.
funny, but something to this effect hit me earlier tonight not the most talented 25 guys but they seem to like each other and play well together best of all they're starting to believe maybe puig is this teams pedro guerrero
I think they've catered to his whim and kept the "Instant out" around long enough. Fuck him and his dopey ass face, walking back to the dugout, nodding, after asking every ump if he struck out swinging at a strike..... AGAIN!
True But if he comes back he could be Franklin Stubbs. Joc is Mike Marshall. Utley + JT is Gibson Howie is Alfredo Griffin Yaz is Mike Scioscia Corey is Steve Sax Reddick Mikey Hatcher
I think Josh Reddick needs to bring back "Careless Whisper" as his walk up song in order to have success
Nah, it isn't like them at all, imo. Way different. But if this is the " new" 1988 team, and it gets done, so be it. I just caution from overconfidence, that's all. What we need is the 2016 version of Orel Hershiser...that would be something.
