Exactly right. Last year no team used as many different starters as the Dodgers. All the remaining teams that were close to Dodgers in terms of different starters used finished in last. Can't expect a fluke to repeat itself, but then according to Freidman starting pitcher is the most over valued position. Might explain why we came into the season with a staff of Kershaw and question marks.
Also Dave needs to find one fucking vs righties and one ducking lineup vs lefties and stick to them. This is getting ridiculous how much he moves guys around
Here's some good news or is it. Gnats playing worse . Pence left the game tonight. Mark Reynolds hitting out of his fucking mind. Trevor Oaks line tonight: 5 innings, 6 K's and 1 walk. ERA now at 1.89 Trayce now 0 -22, OUCH!!!!!!!!
I agree unfortunately. Look at the D-Backs they make only minor tweaks, same with the Rocks, this is the kind of shit that happens when you go too hog wild trying to match up.
Let's see what happens when he gets into May and into better pitcher's parks. Giving up way too man HR's which is the product of sucking obviously but with the exception of the Madres, the Rocks and the D-Bags have really good hitting teams. I will re-iterate though this start has been pretty god awful, I'm not blind.
maeda sure is consistent at leaving meatballs over the plate i don't need to see him start much more tbh
Now I'm getting concerned. Quality pitching has deserted this team, whether it's the starters or relievers. Leaving RISP is a problem again this year. This is the highest paid team in MLB, and maybe the highest paid of all time. And this is what we get? I could "go on" but what's the point as we, the fans, continue to have to settle for mediocrity. Maybe I'm just looking past the facts that the rocks and snakes are just better teams......period. Well I have a full day of 757s, 737s, and airbus 320 tomorrow....at least I know what to expect from them.....
Attendance will plummet even more. This team blows so far. Unwatchable. Kike, Taylor, Van Slyke, Barnes, Eibner etc. are all fine role players. But they can't start together every other night. People will continue to lose interest if we field get away day lineups every other day. Haven't looked at the numbers, but this is a far cry from the 2013 and 2014 teams. Because our lineup hardly ever plays more than a day at a time.
I believe lineup continuity when it comes to place in the order is BS. The numbers dont support "protection" and things of that nature either. BUT, I think lineup continuity in regards to letting guys play everyday is important. The mixing and matching is painful and I think Joc is suffering from this.
it's out of hand no one (regs or scrubs) can get comfortable when they don't know who they playing with, or whether they're playing at all
Scratch the new weight program Maeda can go back to weighing a buck 50 I don't like this ramen fueled version
I actually like the new lineup vs RHP just kill Van Slyke and Hatcher and find another reliable starter "Just"
Big difference between last season and this...last season, the Giants were great, then faded into nothingness. No worries, really about the rest of them. This season, looks like we've got two clubs to worry about we really haven't had to in the past, big time. Right now, their pitching staffs are better than ours. Aside from all world CK and Jansen( who gets minimal chances to save...save what?), our starting rotation is weak. Still not fixed after all this time...tsk, tsk. Our lineup is weak. We see that almost every night. Our bullpen has, evidently, turned weak also. Doubt if it's number one any more. Players we used to depend on, have become albatrosses. Consistency has become an absolute rarity on this team, by most players that were. Of course, these facts are deemed temporary by the point it is in the season, so early...and maybe the scales will tip back to the weight we have all been accustomed to. But just maybe beating up on the NLW is not written in stone anymore. Or maybe, the four shots we had in a row, that we failed miserably at four times in a row, is all we get for a while, and it is someone else's turn at it. Even for a while. So far, sure looks like it. Mr.Bellinger and Mr. Urias and Mr. Braun and, Mr. Whoever is prayed for next week or whenever, Dodger Nation turns it's lonely eyes to you...
IDK...if Maeda went say, 7 innings, then wtf would Stripling do? He absolutely sucked...Excruciatingly poor. Or Hatcher in his on nightmare second innings Dave seems to love so much...doesn't matter anymore , I don't think, how many innings they go. If the bp is spent in April already, because of a problem that has haunted us for at least two seasons, it's over, Johnny.
