    i don't hate puig at all
    and i praised him (and kiké) for having great 2 out/2 strike at bats the other day
    when puig uses the entire field he's a dangerous hitter
    when he tries to pull everything, his swing has huge holes that can be exploited

    Puig is a disappointment. He came on like a storm that first year but has been shit ever since. I'm scarred because I think Baez will probably do the same way. If these guys played half as hard as Chase Utley they would be all stars. You guys should trade Puig before it's two late and I hope my Cubs do the same with Baez.

    But fat is not subjective, it is cearly self evident to anyone that Puig is a top flight athlete.
    Joc has some speed and can cover some ground, but so could Tony Gwynn.
    Joc is not a top flight athlete, he is a baseball player.

    The joke is this unwritten rule..like many of baseball's unwritten rules.
    Strickland's getting a mountain of shit right now because he acted alone here, so if avoiding silly injuries is the goal..Strickland shouldn't have initiated all this to begin with.
    When he does shit like this, he endangers all of his guys and all on his own behalf..selfish shit.
    TBT, I don't really see how it's also a catcher's responsibility to protect a douche pitcher after they do some selfish/douche shit.
    This is why douche pitchers think they can get away with stuff..they think they'll be saved or protected regardless of their actions.
    This old unwritten rule where catchers must stop a batter is a lot like the other unwritten rules in MLB..outdated and dumb.
    Time for updated versions.
    Some of these douche pitchers need to answer for their actions, so I'm in favor of basically making the catcher the judge.
    If the MF on the mound is guilty of some selfish grudge that puts others in harm's way, that douche should have to knuckle up.
    One can't complain on one hand that " Ha! He only hit him because he doesn't have to step to the plate and answer for it by being plunked himself! Coward! "...
    And then be mad at the catcher for basically saying, " OK, boss..now defend yourself, you fuckin idiot " with the batter charging the mound to make him answer for what he did.
    Posey was forward-thinking here..he's stopped his share of batters heading to the mound before and it looked like he either finally found an instance where a douche acted alone or the straw finally broke the camel's back and he wanted to send a message to a big douche.
    Wouldn't shock me if Posey already knew something was gonna happen there and had his mind made up.

    Shit, even if Bochy gave the order to stay out of the way, good for him too..at least in that particular scenario.
    Strickland needed to answer for that selfish shit.
    Dead it right there.
    No need for anybody to get drilled and possibly hurt the next game or in the future.
    Posey stays out of it..clear message that he had nothing to do with it..quarterback of their team should be left alone.

    strickland is a douche
    took 3-4 of his teammates to take him off the field and he was fighting them the whole way
    whatever suspension harper receives strickland should get more

    Just handed down..
    6 game suspension for Strickland
    4 game suspension for Harper
    I'm pissed if I'm Harper..pulled into some bullshit
    At least MLB handled Strickland..just like Posey handled his ass
    Whether or not they could've gone with a longer suspension for Strickland or how many games he's " really missing "..whatever.

    posey's lack of involvement was nothing more than showing he was not on board with what strickland did
    no prob with harper getting three days (he did charge the mound)
    but strickland should have gotten 7-10 days imo

    It is no longer about Puig being bad at baseball.
