I'm also on the train that Posey did as well. Say what you will about the guy for being a wimp or whatever, but he's already missed time this year for a concussion. I would be pissed to Turner or Seager get in the middle of those things if they had missed time only a couple weeks before with a concussion. Also... Bumgarner is still rightfully fucked up and getting into that scrum likely doesn't end well for him, plus he gets a suspension tacked on for being on the DL and on the field for a brawl.

I said they wouldn't collapse. I didn't say we wouldn't get hot and fly past them.

Utley doesn't 'dislike' getting hit by pitches
by Matthew Moreno | Dodger Blue — 12 minutes ago

Now in his 15th season, Chase Utley has a reputation that precedes him. The veteran infielder shows little emotion whether on a baseball diamond or in the clubhouse. His presence and influence is held in high regard throughout the Los Angeles Dodgers organization.

After a slow start to the 2017 season, Utley has blistered his way through May and is among the Dodgers’ hottest hitters. He put together a three-hit performance in Tuesday’s win against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Utley finished a home run shy of the hitting for the cycle, and reached base a fourth time on a hit by pitch. It was only the third time this season Utley has been plunked by an opposing pitcher.

He’s willingly attempted to throw various parts of his body at pitches on several occasions, however. While stopping short of calling himself a glutton for punishment, Utley expressed little issue with getting hit, via Andy McCullough of the L.A. Times:

    Andy McCullough ✔@McCulloughTimes
Chase Utley on getting hit by pitches: "Do I like it? I mean, I don't dislike it."
    8:40 PM - 30 May 2017

Last season, it was reported Utley asked an opponent to hit him in order to serve as a learning moment for a Dodgers teammate who stole second base late in a game and with a large lead on the scoreboard.

Of course, arguably the most memorable instance involving Utley is when New York Mets ace Noah Syndergaard threw behind him. Syndergaard was immediately ejected, and Utley kicked at the dirt in the batter’s box as if nothing happened.

He later hit a home run and a grand slam, further inciting the crowd at Citi Field.

I like how the article repeats this story, even though people looked and no one found an example to support this. And the legend of Chase Utley grows.

Kenley's had 1 save opportunity in the month of May..
So naturally Puig, who's slashing .233/.272/.395 in the month of May, tweets out his apologies to Kenley with " Sincerely, Dodgers bats "

Every year we should probably learn to not really analyze anyone until we get close to June but, what's the fun in that I guess haha.

Fangraphs has the Dodgers at 99.5% chance to make the playoffs and 91% to win the NL West. Also, the Dodgers have the best odds to make it to the WS (greater than Houston).

Bryce Harper's suspension officially reduced to 3 games.
So anyway, supposedly Strickland actually told Posey to let Harper " come get some ".
    All good then.
I mean it's still pretty lame that Strickland started all this between the two with his stare down years back and was pissed that Harper gave it back to him the next time..and has carried his beef for years, but at least he wanted to knuckle up.
Knuckle up, make your point, and go your separate ways.
All the tough guy shit where Strickland's fighting 4 of his own teammates to try and shake loose and get back at Harper like he'd ever actually make it to him..which I guess was necessary since Stickland's rep was a little hurt with Harper showing all the Giants that he didn't give a damn about any tough guy rep when he charged the mound/took a punch/gave one back..all that and MLB's suspensions aside, done and done.
