I didn't think she was a good fit at first, but she actually got a lot more comfortable with herself and really has grown into the role. She went from not good to pretty good.
Not sure what to think of Kershaw's outing. Started out terribly, but finished pretty well. Jury is still out. Hope he builds on the last two innings. Thought game was over when Sheehan came in. Wrong. He was lights out. Nice to see Muncy get his 100th and impressive revenge AB for Wong. Peralta's time as an everyday player is over for this year. Any combination of Taylor or Kike would be preferable. Running out of superlatives for Heyward. Safe to say he's exceeded expectations. Never realized what a force he is in the clubhouse. Hope Mariachi Joe didn't burn his hands fielding that scorching ground ball. Every outing is a thrill a minute with Joe.
left out CT's nice little reminder to the mariners why they fucked up too! Peraltas slowed down w the bat and almost miss played a ball but don't think he's going anywhere although i don't disagree w the platoon you suggest am i missing something?
No matter what happens ultimately, I feel compelled to mention Jason Heywood. The guy played the game like I never saw him do previously, and he did it for us, and he did it all year long. Never thought I'd say this ,( maybe under Gestapo questioning, I probably would), but I'm glad he is a Dodger. I just thought for years he was a waste of a uniform. How absolutely wrong I was. Sheehan was as good as it gets. Kid is damn talented. Always the cockeyed pessimist however, Phillips, with another BS, becoming increasingly concerning. Make it go away.
always a great defender his bat immediately disappeared w the big contract obviously a proud dude and whatever they saw w his approach at the plate clearly paid dividends kudos to him for being willing to listen and enact the changes and can't underestimate the veteran presence in the dugout/locker room...slightly homo
I wouldn't count allowing the ghost runner to score as a blown save. Just a seeing eye single anyway. Agree on Heyward. Always a darling of the nerd crowd with not a lot to show for it.
