1) Do we get the best record? Atlanta seems to be playing Phillie or Miami every time we look up. We're currently 3 GB. What implications/impact will home field advantage play? 2) Who wins the Central? 3) Who do we get in the first round? Who would you prefer? It's gonna obviously come down to who wins the central/wild card game and if we get the best record or not. Pittsburgh's offense is getting a bit better, the Reds have some pitchers that can give us trouble (Latos would probably throw a perfect game against us), and I definitely wouldn't wanna play St. Louis. They score so many runs and have power arms up the wazoo. Plus they're the luckiest team of all time. 4) What's the NLCS match up? I think the Braves' strikeout offense could be manipulated by our pitching but if we're losing a close game going into the 6th inning, it'd be tough to win late against that bullpen. St. Louis, again, would be tough. 5) Nolasco or Ryu in game 3 of a given series? 6) Which team do you most want to avoid in the NL? 7) Am I a flaming cock hound? 8) Construct your lineups in given situations if you want.
1) No 2) Probably the Cardinals, hope the Pirates 3) Probably the Cardinals, prefer the Pirates 4) Hopefully the Pirates or Reds 5) Depends how they finish the season, leaning Nolasco 6) Cardinals 8) (Since 7 was skipped) Gotta see how Kemp plays, but obviously Dre sits vs LHP. Vs RHP either Kemp or Crawford.
1. No. It'll be the Braves. We play too many teams that play us tough, plus the Reds who are fighting to stay in the wild card. Honestly, I don't care about home field. You don't deserve to be champions if you can't win on the fucking road. 2. Cards. 3. Cards. 4. Dodgers/Braves. I know people like to make fun of the Braves, but I'm worried about facing Kimbrel in a one run game. Our guys, and basically all of MLB have proven they can't hit him. 5. Depends on the matchups. I would assume a team, with a lefty-heavy lineup would mean it'll be Ryu. But I would rather have Nolasco as he's been nails and Ryu has been a bit too wild at times. 6. Braves. Like I said, a one run game against Kimbrel is not ideal. 7. Learn your god damn numbers TB. 8. My hope is Kemp comes back and plays like he did before his most recent injury. Puig, Dre/Crawford, Hanley, Gonzalez, Kemp, Ellis (Mark), Uribe, Ellis (AJ), P I'm bad at lineups though.
1 - Yes, we play the shitty giants a ton of times to close the season. 2 - Cards and Pirates 3 - St Louis .. I want Atlanta though, think they're overrated 4 - Pirates - their pitching will fuck up the Braves 5 - Ryu 6 - Pirates, got a weird feeling about them 8 - Crawford/Ethier, Puig, Hanley, Gonzo, Kemp, Mark Ellis, Uribe, Ellis
For one I hope we see the Braves sometime during the playoffs. They have to be some of the biggest NL shit talkers on the net, I would love to see them put back into underachieving hole. "The 90's were a dynasty" "1 chip bkitches"
1) Do we get the best record? Yes. But HFA doesn't mean much when you're sweeping people. 2) Who wins the Central? Cardinals. I wanted to pick someone else, but they have the best team and best schedule down the stretch by far. 3) Who do we get in the first round? Who would you prefer? We get the Pirates, but I would prefer the Cards just because that's how I am. 4) What's the NLCS match up? Dodgers vs Cardinals. I've seen the Braves' song and dance too many times and it usually ends anti-climacticly. 5) Nolasco or Ryu in game 3 of a given series? Ryu. But I love it when Capuano pitches, because Capuano games are fun. 6) Which team do you most want to avoid in the NL? None.
What he said. If Dre is starting to remember his game, I want him in 2 hole. Remember when he walked, hit for average, and power?
1) Do we get the best record? yes 2) Who wins the Central? pirates 3) Who do we get in the first round? Who would you prefer? reds/cards 4) What's the NLCS match up? us/braves 5) Nolasco or Ryu in game 3 of a given series? ricky 6) Which team do you most want to avoid in the NL? n/a 7) Am I a flaming cock hound? yes 8) Construct your lineups in given situations if you want. no
1.gotta say the dodgers.phils, nats, and marlins have been playing teams tough lately. 2.pirates.pitching has been an anchor for them all season, offense was already stepping up before the trades and adding to very good complementary pieces can't be bad 3.red.cards have trouble with the reds(especially wainwright) and they've been one of the hottest teams since the break 4.pirates/dodgers 5.depends on the lineup but I prefer ryu
