i feel a big trade is still coming
too many guys and the left side of the infield needs work since we have no idea what kind of Lux is showing up
and it still looks like Max is expendable w Busch around idk

I like Max, but I don’t want him ever playing in the field.

He’s a DH/1B but obviously those two spots are filled with some decent guys.

I don’t know if the FO is still good with him running out at 3B everyday, but I have a feeling he gets moved sooner rather than later.

    Body positivity points for sure.

A close second is the fact he's pretty consistently a 3+ish WAR player and we got him to sign a contract for 12M AAV. That's a really solid bargain, IMO. If the FO does decide to trade him, that's going to be a sexy contract for a guy with his kind of pop.

That he kicks the shit out of the Giants regularly is a plus, too. And that he irritates the hell out of their fans is another bonus.

If it were up to me, Max would be the guy to spell Busch at third and Mookie at second. I would include 1b but we know FF doesn't ever sit. And DH, but for $70M per, Ohtani shouldn't ever sit. CT would spell all three OF'ers and occasionally middle infield. With Barnes and Rojas, there's your bench. Trade Margot for bullpen depth.

yeah i didn't think anyone thought you were implying he's a liability or of zero value
maybe not a defensive wiz but a lot of teams would love to have him in the middle of the order
other than CT he's the only vet i can see us moving and the fact he is a net positive hopefully brings back something good

In case you're wondering what he's been doing in his time away from the game. Everyone is equal in his eye.

i was stunned when they re-signed him, especially so early in the offseason
not doubting his offensive value but at 3B he’s a liability
could definitely be a good DH option for a team in need

when i first saw this on bleacher report it said dodgers trade with chicago and, for a brief moment, i thought “we’re getting cease!!!”
turns out it’s likely just to clear a spot for teoscar

    Jon Heyman@JonHeyman
Reliever Yency Almonte is traded from Dodgers to Cubs @juanctoribio on it
