That half inning was a lot more stressful than it had to be. Is Roberts trying to keep Kersh rested for the postseason or something?
Wow, that half inning by Jansen took about two minutes. I swear I looked at my phone right before the first pitch. Then I looked back up and three outs had been recorded.
So this was game 81 - half way done with the season. And Kersh has 12 wins. Could be a special season when all is done.

That projects to a 135-win season if he batted there every game, so we know that stat is a bit fluke-ish. Nevertheless, as I posted yesterday, when he hits 8th, we're getting way more production from that spot than almost every other team. Big advantage, us. Of course, we need other guys like Forsythe to carry their weight at their respective spots in the order, too.
I guess the flame of favorites war has reignited, and the this one is better than that one shit is revisited. Tedious man. I guess a team effort, with multiple producing players, is passe' now, and individuals must be presented as better or on a higher, bigger, better plane than the other guy.
