i think everyone is tired of hearing about it because seldom does anything ever get done selig says he's committed to cleaning up the game -- trust me, he is not whatever puts butts in the seats and pads the wallets of him and his fat cat owner friends is what he cares about first and foremost otherwise he would put together stiffer penalties something like: 1st time: 1 year suspension, current contract voided, lose all player rights 2nd time: lifetime ban if the player's association balked, selig could take it public and easily gain support i know, i know... in a perfect world :soapbox:
That's not the reasoning at all. I don't care about PED's because there's no definitive evidence to prove how much they affect a baseball player's performance. I don't care about PED's because by all accounts, HGH and similar supplements do more good for a person than they do bad. It has nothing to do with being "tired of it", for me at least.
The Angels' minor league system projects as one of the worst in the game and MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez looks at how it happened, including such factors as the team's lack of international scouting and lackluster 2010 draft. One bright side for L.A. is that their farm system is currently shallow because so many homegrown prospects have made their way to the Angels' big league roster. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/01/al-west-notes-jaso-angels-astros.html
Yeah, you're probably on the money with that. But it's just a head shaking shame that you are. I guess I'm just an old guy, and I sure have had my selfish moments, that's for sure, but the older I get, the more I do give a shit about others. You'll see. I trust. That's why I loved being a hippie for that time, after the service. I actually walked down the street, saw strangers, and called them brother and sisters when we met, and actually meant it. felt it. It all went away invariably....but it wasn't all about bell bottoms and scoring drugs. I guess it's gone forever.
I'm not saying that I don't care about others, I'm just stating the general direction of this nation. There's always going to be great people out there, but a vast majority of people only care about themselves. Does anyone here really think any of these athletes give two shits about the fans? I'm sure some do, but the ones that resort to PEDs (whether we ever find out or not) are thinking about cheating the system to get a higher paycheck. That's how America is nowadays. Dog eat dog world.
Question: If there is no definitive evidence, then why do sports have drug testing for these types of drugs? Are they simply just wasting the players' and their own time?
(And I don't mean to get into a big ol controversy over Legalizing weed and what not, just that sometimes shit that seems to do little harm and has proof to help is deemed illegal cause of public perception and other bullshit)
I think the majority of American voters would still agree that gay marriage and marijuana should be illegal. So, I don't just think it's the people in power that are behind - but people in general.

I think I am with you. Here is the thing, it is all about wording. Right now, 55 percent of Americans would probably go with gay marriage. Change it to Civil Unions with same rights as married couples and it rises to at least 80. The second same. I think most would not agree to legalize it. Add restrictions like alcohol with stricter penalties for crimes involving kids and the number who agree goes up.
Weed should be illegal. I smoked some dank shit a while back and I was on a trip for hours. If i were to drive i can guarantee you there would be a minimum 4 casualties. Id make James Loney look like Michael Schumacher Gay Marriage should be legal. My nigga Frank Ocean said it perfectly "...Marriage isn't between a man and woman but between love and love" nah niggas i aint gay either. Just gotta throw out that disclaimer
