There's no reason to lose this overrated team.

    I'm talking to the Brewers

Surprised Brewers didn't ask for a second look. Barnes didn't give Cain much of a lane.

Only a great play by Kike ( Barnes was good on that block, too) keeps it at one...while everyone is making plans and lineups for the post, we are not taking care of basic business.

Wade Miley needs to be punched in his clown face. He has played for five teams? I seriously had no idea he ever left Arizona. Thought he was still on their team

If Chris Taylor went on the disabled list for the rest of the year I wouldn't care

Okay off to work we are going to be out of 1st place in about 2 hours. Where would we be if Kershaw didn't have that game on the offensive side last week.

No wonder they went after two bats before the deadline. Inevitable regression from Kemp and Muncy, injury to Turner, complete hopelessness from Bellinger, the hot/cold nature of Grandal, the platoons and splits of Joc and Puig...everything can crumble for this offense quickly. Cant imagine that's prevelent with other big time offenses like the Red Sox and Astros who seem to be much more consistent.

Granted, I'm more critical of the Dodgers and live/die with every at bat. So it's a perception issue too. But still

Back in the day, when it was Koufax and DD, there was a great chance we'd win- and they did, way more often than not.And Newcombe. And Erskine, et al.
Then there was Sutton. Then Fernando. Then Hershiser. And Kershaw in his CY years...almost automatic in their Dodger greatness. Ws.
A bunch I'm sure I've forgotten, too. When you read the pitching match up, you'd smile...because you knew how great the chances were they'd win.
There is just no one even comes near that for us since Kershaw's decline.
    Not even in the vicinity.
The best thing about Dodger pitching now takes form as a collective...Rick Honeycutt.

At some point, this Dodger team has to quit relying on the “inevitability” of them scoring home runs, and actually be smart at the plate.

This is BS. They’ve all turned brain dead at the plate.

It’s clear the FO concentrated on offense because of the lack of any impact SP or reliever. Then that is what we are....I hope somebody sent the memo to the hitters.
