Kemp being out might fuck us harder than we thought. I know it's just one loss but I think mentally if they lose 3-4 games in a row without Matt they will believe they can't do it without him. And I don't blame them because it is probably true. There was no fight. It looked like a bunch of monor leaguers

 

Sellers won't make errors.

Bottom line. Either he leads off or doesn't play.

 

That's nice, but it's not gonna happen. It's just not. For the time being, batting 8th is the solution that makes the most sense.

 

You give Gordon another month. Then you need to look into doing something about SS.

 

This is beyond growing pains. He does NOTHING to help the team. Anything. He has that one upside of blinding speed (which he hasn't used I might add). If he wasn't so fast, it wouldn't even be a thought.

We have no alternative. Make one if he's still like this a month.5 form now. Because it is unacceptable.

Loney is something that will need to be addressed. I was cautiously optimistic about him coming into the season. I thought he found something fundamentally. Wrong. He's dismal and unacceptable. Again. No alternative. SO I'm fine with him there for now. Who else will play 1B? Van Slyke?! lmao. But can't have this kind of production from James. We have AJ Ellis batting 5th...that's how bad James is. No offense to Ellis of course.

Loney is different than Dee though. Loney isn't embarrassing himself every at bat. Loney at least sometimes has a few hits in a game, as much as he needs to be replaced, we can see what's around at the deadline, and maybe even next year. If Dee hits as is he can't start past June 1st though, he's a disgrace, if he gets on base once in a game you're happy.

 

WAR tells the story, Loney's WAR is 0.1, terrible for a 1B, but at least it's something. Dee is at -0.6, he's a detriment. One of the worst players in baseball.
