Seager is hardly lighting the league on fire. Another Dodger "give him time" project. Yay.

This series, along with the Mets next, could leave us reeling. Would be looking forward to them, but this team just can't get it done.

With the upcoming games and matchups, we could be in third place when all is said and done.

I've been thinking along those lines all night long...and before. He looks like a fine fielder, and maybe not fair to judge him...but he looks pretty average offensively so far.
You feel badly about feeling that way (I do), but it's what I see. I think maybe anyone trailing off right now during this puke offensive time gets magnified.
    Let's go Kersh!

actually thought this was a well played game
maeda was exceptionally good -- really just one mistake
the pen [sans liberatore] was actually good
that ball pillar hit out was obscene -- that was not a bad pitch by blanton
but there is one thing i'm beginning to dislike...
roberts seems to plays by the book wayyyy too much
i understand bringing in liberatore in theory to face a lefty
    but coleman was pitching well
    a mistake, no
    just an observation

not quite Joc 2.0 just yet but it certainly looks like the league knows how to pitch him at this point

Yeah, I agree that some degree of wobble is bit by bit, showing on Dave.
I think a rookie manager, who sees his big salary team play at .500 or below, must walk the line and play it that way...even if it is not his real feelings, when people start asking about wtf is going on with this highest payroll team, Roberts can fall back ( at least somewhat) on traditional by the book managing...nothing too instinctive or unorthodox done with the team to blame on him.
    Just my tuppence.
Maybe a little out of the box thinking might help, though.

Seager will be an all star, just maybe not in his rookie year

I think he will be good but more of a Joe Mauer type good and not Mike Trout or Bryce Harper good.

    can't really blame blanton tbh
yes he gave up a bomb
but it's not like he left a pitch up over the plate
that ball was down and in with movement
    right where grandal wanted it
