I don't mind that Robert said he has confidence in Baez. What I don't agree with is when he said that confidence will never waver. To me, that is close-minded and stupid. He's basically saying that no matter what Baez does, he won't change his mind.
You have to say that. Does not mean you have to mean it. If you dont say that then there is no point in you saying the stuff about having confidence in him. The confidence has to be steadfast or it wont do the trick. And they are obviously looking for a trick with Baez .

Who could be picked up by the Giants and be a closer next season who is 'fixed' from the issues he currently has. Folks will point to that ERA and want to fix him. I have faith in Clayton and Hill for the most part. But Darvish and Wood being terrible might be a real thing. October would be very short in that scenario.
