Well, now you're projecting what Punto will do instead of what he's been doing. Now you're including Beckett too. Whatever...you just want to hate?...hate then. I'm not going to change that.

Just know what your typing before you type. You said:"it seems like none of those three are really producing" Are is different than will.

"Producing" usually refers to contributing to runs scored, which all 3 have done more than the rest of the team in that regard...whether you think its mediocre or not is relevent, the 3 of them are taking up spots in the lineup and are "producing" most of the runs, by far. And Crawford is on pace to hit more HRs than he ever has before. "nothing special", in relation to what? He isn't worth the contract, never would be. Boston way overpaid for him, and to get AGon, now L.A. is. No arguement there. If you want to say they aren't worth the money...say that then, but what you said really had nothing to do with payroll.

Carry on buddy, hate away. The team overall is not doing well at all obviously, I just don't see 1 reason to place blame on any of the 3 you originally commented on. Too bad you can't win with 3 good hitters and the best starting pitcher in basebll. It's team sport. I'm just getting tired of that trade being brought up as another reason this team is in last place. It's simply not the truth.

I mean I really hate Beckett, but I'm not going to be dumb enough to say that trading two PROSPECTS for Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford, Josh Beckett, and Punto as a throw in isn't worth it.

To be honest, we can't say the trade hasn't worked out. The only one who isn't helping is Beckett.

Crawford is doing far better than anyone here expected. Remember how we all thought he was the weak link of the trade? He's played well. Punto of course won't play out of his mind, but he plays his heart out. That's all we can ask. He's a placeholder for Hanley. And lets face it. The Dodgers 2B we acquire usually do really well (Ellis/Carrel/now Punto). They're doing everything they can to help the team win. It's Kemp/Dre/Injuries that have fucked the Dodgers.

To be fair, this trade can't be judged now. I think most people thought A-Gon would be a good hitter, and CC has been better than advertised, but wait on RDLR, Webster and most importantly the last few years on CC and A-Gon's deal.

I agree. In all likelihood though to most people here this isn't going to look good because all people seem to care about is A-Gon hitting HRs, to that I say, who the fuck cares? A guy drives in a 100+ runs, why does it matter if he does it with 15-20 or 30 HRs?

Correct me if I am wrong, can very easily be, but didn't AGon OPS .958 the very next year after having shoulder surgery?

i didn't care for it from the start but gonzo has been our best hitter and is recently showing a return to power. even if he is a very rich mans james loney lol. just made that comparison the other day
crawford has been really good at the plate but his defense is awful.
    beckett is toast.
i think we need to wait a few years to really know whos was bested. although clearly boston dumped a shitload of money on us. i agree also that we probably never see a trade like that again.

Your first mistake was using an article from Bleacher Report.
